The NGO "Follow Your Dream" was founded in 2007 to help socially disadvantaged children in Ukraine discover their talents and become successful members of society. Each year, the organization holds charity events such as festivals, workshops, and auctions to support orphaned and disadvantaged youths. In 2014, over 110 talented children from across Ukraine participated in the 8th international charity children's festival held in Kiev.
2. NGO “Nazustrich mriyi” (Follow Your Dream) was founded in 2007.
Organization helps socially disadvantaged children to discover their
talents, to become successful and happy members of our society, to
contribute their achievements and discoveries for the good of the world.
Every year and all through the year we hold and organize charity festival
events, creative workshops, art contests, fairs, charity auctions and
trainings through which children can express themselves, get support
and feel that they are needed and that they are heard.
The main purpose of our organization is development of socially disadvantaged children.
Our task as founders is to discover and support talented children who grow up in orphanages or have to
study in special state boarding institutions, who have no families or parents to support them. Our NGO
covers all the costs of the events we organize without relying on state funds.
The problem of orphans and children from disadvantaged families is grave in Ukraine as compared to
western and other developed countries. Only up to 10 percent of children who leave orphanages as they
graduate from state boarding schools get a profession, job or go on to receive higher education. Most
become marginalized in society - become criminals, unemployed or homeless. NGOs have a big task to
perform in trying to socialize such children as early as possible, identify their talents or interests and bring
their dreams closer to reality.
3. Our events were attended by many famous artists and performers.
On 19-21 June 2014 in Kiev, in the Congress Hall of President Hotel
we held the VIII international charity children festival “Nazustrich
mriyi" which brought together 110 gifted children from orphanages and
state boarding schools of Ukraine.
Children came from all over the country and had the chance to visit the
capital of Ukraine. They greatly enjoyed the comfort and hospitality of
the hotels "Rus" and "Slavutich", which are partners of the festival, had
master-classes and performed on the big stage together with artists and
stars. They have also visited the most famous Ukrainian circus
"Kobzov", that brings together best performers from the entire world.
Circus “Kobzov” is the long-time partner of the festival “Nazustrich
mriyi”.
4. • The winner of the Grand Prix of the VIII festival "Follow Your Dream" -
Marina Gvozd, unfortunately suffers from cerebral palsy. Nevertheless, she
was the bravest and most impressive child at the festival as she read the
patriotic poem addressed to all Ukrainians. Apart from award and gifts, she
received a trip to a medical spa treatment in Truskavets (Ukrainian spa and
springs resort) from the organizers of the festival. All the children who
participate in the festival receive gifts and special Diplomas to commemorate
their contribution; the winners receive special prizes from the organizers and
partners of the festival.
• 23 Winners of the arts contest, in the framework of the festival, received
financial awards from the festival "Follow Your Dream" and received
vouchers for a weekend trip to Odessa, Kiev and Lviv from the main partner of
the festival Premier Hotels & Resorts.
• Our youngest dancing couple who won 1st place in the "Choreography"
nomination was invited to the prestigious international children festival
"Slavic Crown" held in Bulgaria.
• As festival ends children come back home inspired and often pass great
enthusiasm of their achievements to their tes and friends in school who in turn
challenge themselves in drama and artistic performances the following year.
Each year we have more and more applications from orphanages and public
boarding schools to participate in our festival, so we are looking for new
partners and sponsors to cover the maximum number of young dreamers.
5. Festival embraces charitable artistic events of 2014
On February 1, 2014 studio I LOVE DANCE has organized a charity concert "
Territory of Good - 2014" in the concert hall "Allegro". The concert brought together
beloved and popular entertainers and dancers who contributed for the future of festival’s
talented children who are growing up without parents.
On April 11 with the support of Premier Hotels&Resorts we held a charity auction
“Easter gifts”. The proceeds from the sale of the lots donated by children artists of the
festival were transferred to them and channelled to support creativity of children in
orphanages
From April 17 to May 5 as part of the All-Ukrainian festival of Easter eggs at St. Sophia
Cathedral we organized an exhibition-fair "HAND MADE by children". Proceeds from
sales were transferred to private accounts of children artists from orphanages.
On June 1 together with Tatiana Piskareva (Ukrainian singer) we organized a
charitable event "Bird of Hope" to collect funds for the treatment of child suffering from
luekemia. The event was held in the concert hall of the Carribean Club in Kiev. 70 000
grivna (approx 6 000 USD) were raised and donated to the grandfather of the child at
the event.
On 19-21 June the VIII international charity children festival “Nazustrich mriyi" was
held and received 110 talented children from orphanages and state boarding schools of
Ukraine.
6. •On June 22 we began a marathon "Children for Peace, For a
United Ukraine", which still continues and it will last until there will be
a peace in Ukraine!
•Together with Ukrainian stars, partners and friends of the festival and
other NGOs associated with the festival, we have started auction-marathon

valuable items or works of art for the auction proceeds from which will
