SDN is a new concept for networking industry and struggle to find a common ground for SDN controller is slowing down pace of innovation. I think Google can help by open sourcing its SDN controller and I came up with some reasons for this to start the discussion and thought process.

allow industry to move beyond

ambiguities/confusions and to

in their HW offering by bridging that
gap and will allow them to bring their
products under SDN more
quickly, with more confidence and
acceptance from their
vendors/ISPs/telcos.
