experimental development (SR&ED), is currently seeking a candidate to deliver first-rate advisory
services to our clients in Quebec. We offer an excellent opportunity for talented people to play a key
role in Ernst & Young's rapidly growing and dynamic SR&ED practice. Either individually or as part of a
team, you will be interacting regularly with clients at the forefront of technology.
Position description:
As an SR&ED Specialist you will be working with new and existing clients to evaluate and prepare their
Scientific Research and Experimental Development claims. This involves assessing the client's eligibility
to receive funding, establishing how much they can claim, and writing technical project descriptions that
detail the innovation, development methodologies and activities that were involved for each project. An
interest in science and technology is a must. If you want to be at the forefront of exciting R&D initiatives
taking place in the IT, telecommunications, software industries and gaming industry this role is for you.
We are looking for a recent graduate with outstanding verbal and written communication skills to join
our team as an SR&ED Specialist. If you are inquisitive and expressive, you will find this position both

As a SR&ED Technical Specialist, you will:
Meet with technical and financial professionals across client organizations in various fields
including telecommunications, software, IT, hardware, robotics, and automation.
Understand technical concepts, gain insight into R&D process through detailed review of
existing client documentation
Prepare detailed technical reports on client R&D activities
Manage reviews with the Canada Revenue Agency
Network in the entrepreneurial community on behalf of EY
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields
High level of proficiency gathering detailed client feedback and requirements
Creative thinker - ability to innovate solutions to client problems on the spot.
Previous experience and excellent skills in negotiation and partnership building
Ability to quickly absorb and understand numerous technical concepts
Ability prepare financial information through job costing strategies
2. Strong social and communication skills (facilitation, interpersonal, written, verbal, and listening)
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
Entrepreneurial drive to work with the start-up community
Prior SR&ED experience is an asset, but not required
