   Data or instructions entered into the memory of computer

   Input device is any hardware component that allows users to enter data and
    instructions

   Touchpad is small, flat, rectangular pointing
    device sensitive to pressure and motion




   Pointing stick is pointing device shaped like pencil

       Optical character recognition (OCR)
        reads typewritten characters
