79. Learn and Reinvent to keep on winning Where would I want to be five years from now? That’s one hell of a difficult question I always refuse to answer so you can just imagine how hard it is to make this 20-year marketing life plan. You see, all my life I have always been a “think ahead” kind of person. I have always known what I wanted to become as early as eight and at ten I knew that I am going to get myself an MBA. When I turned 21, I was already paying for my life insurance. That’s how futuristic I was. But I realized my life was just so boring and premeditated. I think too much about future that I tend to compromise the present. I was just so uptight that I sometimes take the things I currently have for granted. Two years ago I decided I’m not gonna be like that anymore. I don’t want to over think and over analyze things because while that outlook might bring me somewhere, it definitely won’t give me contentment. If I was asked the same question five years ago, I would have easily answered. But now, the longest I have is six months. It is only now that I thought I have to start making plans again as I am getting old. To sum up, I guess I just wanna be in a place where I can say I am content. Nothing too measly or extravagant. I still want to see myself struggle sometimes if that’s what I need. http://myrtlefrantilla.blogspot.com/
80. Learn and Reinvent to keep on winning I believe everything I do and every decision I make contribute to how I envision my life in the next 20 years and so I’m trying to live each day as if it is as important as the next days. There are probably moments when feel I want to bum around and not go to work but there are also times when I don’t even take lunch just to deliver what is expected of me and more. There will be instances when I just want to go out of town and spend some cash even if my marginal propensity to consume is almost negative but there are also times when I won’t go shopping even if I just got my bonus because I’m saving up for something. And I don’t mind because for what it’s worth I know these things are what I need to be able to learn and eventually get to the place I’ve imagined for myself. And Like Music Legends, I will keep on learning and I will work so hard and never stop reinventing myself so that I will always have something fresh and new to offer. http://myrtlefrantilla.blogspot.com/
