Born : December 28,1937
Primary education : from mumbai at The
campion school and the Bishop cotton school in
shimla
Secondary education : the Cathedral and
john connon school.He received a bachelor’s degree
in architecture from America’s Cornell university in
1962.
4. Career
In 1962- He came back to India on
grandmother’s insistence and joined the TATA
Group.
In 1971- Ratan Tata was appointed the Director-
in-charge of The National Radio & Electronics
Company Limited.
In 1981- Ratan Tata was named director of Tata
Industries, the Group’s other holding company.
In 1991- He took over as Tata group Chairman
from J.R.D. Tata.
In 1998- Tata Motors introduced his brainchild,
the Tata Indica.
In 2009- The cheapest cost car was launched
named as Tata Nano.
In 2012- Ratan Tata retired from Tata Group.
