Top News :
• Sobha Developers Mgt Guideline : Company have been under pressure in the past few days after the company released a sales update
indicating it would miss its FY14 sales guidance . The company had said it intended to sell 4.2 million square feet for sales of Rs 2,600 crore in
FY14 but in the first nine months of FY14, it has only managed to sell 2.66 million square foot. Third-quarter sales had been a disappointment.
Mgt attributed the slowdown to weakness to below-average performance seen in the NCR region and some delays in Bangalore property
launches. While admitting FY14 sales guidance looked difficult to achieve . Mgt did not expect the weakness to continue into next year.
• Jaihind Projects Ltd has bagged two Work Orders from M/s. Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOC) for worth Rs. 30.39 cr & Rs. 14.17 cr and
one Work Order from M/s. Gujarat State Petronet Limited (GSPL) worth Rs. 3.71 cr.
• Gillette India Clarification : News regarding "Delisting Buzz Fuels Gillette Stock Surge", Gillette India Ltd has clarified to BSE that, "the
Company has no plans for an open offer or delisting. The said news regarding possibility of an open offer by the Company or delisting of the
Company is untrue. In fact, the Company has recently successfully completed a sell-down of shares to deliver compliance with SEBI's minimum
public shareholding requirement.
• Titagarh Wagons has divested its entire holding in Barrackpore Enterprises Private Limited (BEPL) {formerly Titagarh FreightCar Private
Limited} on December 31, 2013 and accordingly BEPL is no longer a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company.
• Tata Steel has been fined 25,000 pounds and ordered to pay 8,320 pounds in legal costs over a worker's injury at its plant in Wales.Tata
Steel’s UK unit was found guilty of safety failings after the worker suffered serious injuries to his hand at the Trostre plant in Llanelli.
• ICRA has assigned the fundamental grade '5' and the valuation grade 'B' to GAIL (India) Limited. The fundamental grade "5" assigned to GAIL
implies that the company has "Very Strong Fundamentals .
• Aban Offshore Ltd has informed that a letter of award has been received for the deployment of the jack-up rig Deep Driller 5 (owned by the
Company's step down subsidiary) Offshore Vietnam, for a firm period of 1 year and an optional period of 1 year. The estimated revenues from
the deployment during the firm period is about USD 61.3 Million (equivalent to approx. Rs. 380 Crores). The Contract is likely to commence
during April 2014.
• Eurostat said that the euro zone’s unemployment rate held steady at a seasonally adjusted 12.1% in November, in line with expectations and
unchanged from October.
• Eurostat said retail sales jumped by a seasonally adjusted 1.4% in November, easily surpassing expectations for a 0.2% gain. Retail sales fell
0.4% in October, whose figure was revised from a previously reported decline of 0.2%.
• Deutsche Bundesbank said factory orders surged by a seasonally adjusted 2.1% in November, surpassing expectations for a gain of 1.5%.
Factory orders fell by 2.1% in October, whose figure was revised from a previously reported drop of 2.2%.
