Top News :
• Allcargo Mgt Guideline : Mgt says Jan-March quarter is always slower at a global level than the rest of the year. But overall, at a global level,
there will be a 7-10% growth in volumes
• U.S. Commerce Department said that retail sales inched up by a seasonally adjusted 0.3% last month, beating expectations for a 0.2% increase.
Retail sales for January were revised down to a 0.6% decline from a previously reported fall of 0.4%.
• The U.S. Department of Labor said the number of individuals filing for initial jobless benefits in the week ending March 7 fell by 9,000 to a
seasonally adjusted 315,000 from the previous week’s revised total of 324,000.
• Corporation Bank launched a secure EMV Compliant Forex Travel Card, in partnership with Tomas Cook (India) Ltd., and Master Card, for the
benefit of Indians travelling abroad for business and/or leisure.
• India Ratings has upgraded private sector lender ING Vysya Bank's rating by a notch on better capitalisation levels and stronger provisioning
done in the past. Apart from upgrading the rating to 'IND AA' from 'IND AA-', it also gave a stable outlook on the rating.
• China's industrial output rose 8.6% in the first two months of 2014 from a year earlier, the National Bureau of Statistics said on Thursday,
missing market expectations for a 9.5% rise.
• Indian Sugar mills produced 16.86 million tonnes in the first five months of the 2013-14 season that started on October 1, down 10.5 percent
from last year .
• Raising concerns about its growth guidance, Murthy said Infosys hasn’t been able to cash in on the rupee depreciation and operating margins
for the year to date stand at 23.5 percent. Murthy expect to be somewhere between 11.5 percent and 12 percent in our revenue growth.
• Transformers and Rectifiers (India) Ltd is supplying 20 Nos. of 500 MVA, 1-Phase, 765 kV class transformers to State owned, transmission utility
company in India, POWERGRID. The supply includes Erection & Commissioning. The first 3 units forming a bank of 1500 MVA, 765 kV transformers
manufactured by T&R have been commissioned successfully at Nellore substation of POWERGRID located in Andhra Pradesh, India.
• The Income Tax officials carried out the search at the registered office and some factories and also the residence of the whole-time directors
of Hatsun Agro from March 11 till the early morning hours of today, the filing added.
• KLRF Ltd has decided to shut down the operations of "KLRF Textiles Unit-II", a Textile Unit of the Company with effect from March 13, 2014 and
it has also been proposed to dispose off the whole of the said undertaking after obtaining necessary approval of the members by way of passing a
special resolution pursuant to Section 180(1) of the Companies Act, 2013 through postal ballot as required under Section 192A of the Companies
Act, 1956 read with Companies (Passing of the Resolution by Postal Ballot) Rules, 2011.
