4. We have over 50,000 books – fiction and non-
fiction.
Search the Library Catalogue online at
http://library.ncl-coll.ac.uk/
Books
Higher Education students can borrow up to 15 books
at a time.
Most books can be borrowed for 3 weeks.
7-Day Loan texts may be borrowed for 1 week.
Further Education students can borrow up to 10 books
at a time.
You can renew items up to 3 times, unless they are reserved.
5. DVDs and Journals
We have a selection of DVDsavailable.
Borrow any 3 DVDs for up to one week at a
time.
As well as general interest magazines, we
stock specialist academic journals.
Borrow any 6 magazines or journals for up
to one week at a time.
6. Fines
Standard Book Loans : 20p per day
7-Day Book Loans : 50p per day
Magazine Loans : 20p per day
DVD Loans : 50p per day
We charge fines on Library items to
encourage their prompt return, so that
everyone can have the chance to use them.

Let us know your email address, and we’ll remind
you when your loans are due.
7. Manage your Account online
Go to http://library.ncl-coll.ac.uk
You can renew items up to 3 times, unless they’re Reserved.
Click “Login”, and type in your Student ID
Number and Library Password (if you have not
already set this, leave the Password box blank when you first log in.
You’ll then be prompted to choose a Password for yourself).
On the Home Screen, click “Current Loans”
beneath the Search Box.
… then click the Renew icon to keep
your loans out for longer.
Update your Library Account (e.g. if you change home/email address, or mobile
phone number) by clicking “Details” in the left-hand Menu.
8. Online Resources
Specialist databases, e-books and online versions of
journals at the click of a mouse.
Available 24/7, on campus or at home
Easy to use, with up-to-date information
Quality-controlled (unlike Google!)
Coverage of all subject areas.
If prompted, logon with your usual College Username and Password.
