29. Dissemination of technology 1. A dissemination workshop on “Engine Application of Bio – Fuels” on February 3 – 7, 2007 was organized at MGIRI, after the standardization and in-house testing of the technology. 2. The technology was also successfully transferred to Central Institute of Agriculture Engineering (ICAR), Bhopal. The diesel engine of 3.7 KW capacity was converted to operate on 100% biogas. The converted engine is also used as a demonstration unit for visitors. 3. The similar installation were also done at following organizations under the supervision of MGIRI. 31. Technology dissemination (IMPROVED POTTER KILN ) 1. After standardization and in-house testing of the technology, it was disseminated by conducting workshops at MGIRI “ Evaluation of an pottery kiln and potters wheel.” on December 14 – 20, 2006. 2. the technology dissemination workshop conducted on “ An improved potters kiln and value addition in Pottery “ were also conducted at Kanyakumari 3. The improved kiln were also constructed at Kondagaon – Dist Bastar (Chattisgarh) and Bharavati - Dist Chandrapur (Maharastra) with local pottery clusters. Benefits: Fuel saving upto 40-50 % Less breakage as comparative traditional kiln Uniform coloration on pottery Reduced operational cost.

33. Dissemination of Technology (ADPM) 1. A consultation workshop on “Rural Entrepreneurship possibilities using Bio- Fuels and Animal Power” was organized on 23-25 March 2007 at MGIRI after in-house testing of the technology. 2. Animal driven prime mover system was installed by MGIRI at Chaturvedi farm house Kanpur and Jaju Farm house, Akola for water lifting purpose. It is operational by the use of a pair of bullock. 3. An additional setup of Animal driven prime mover is installed at Agril. University Udaipur for carrying out different experiments on agro-processing devices. 4. The modifications were also suggested to Kanpur – Goshala for running of there mechanical devices. Benefits: Increased use of animal power in agro-processing. Development of biomass briquettes Dissemination : To standardizing the system of biomass briquetting a consultation workshop on “ Rural Entrepreneurship possibilities using Bio- Fuels and Animal Power” on dated 23-25 March 2007 at MGIRI. Benefits : Following are the benefits of bio mass briquetting technology An alternative method to save the consumption and dependency on fuel wood. Easy to handle, transport and store being uniform in size and quality. Helps to solve the residual disposal problem. The process assists the reduction of fuel wood usage and helps aeforestation.
