is regular throughout the year.
TROPICAL RAINFOREST (JUNGLE)
Forest with many different plants.Mainlybroadleaf
evergreen trees including ebony and mahogany
Plants grow quickly in the hot and damp conditions
The fauna in the forest is very varied
LIFE IN THE ECUATORIAL CLIMATE.
POPULATION
There is few population due to natural conditions and important diseases.
TRADITIONAL ACTIVITIES
Compilation of fruits, the hunt and the fishing. Nowadays they practise a
rudimentary agriculture.
MODERN ACTIVITIES
They are based principally on felling trees to trade with wood as the
mahogany or the teak.
Strong desforestation , which produces decrease of the level of oxygen
of the Earth, increase of the erosion of the soil , threat of the survival of
the living things and native people.
DESERT CLIMATE
Location :
● Hot Desert Climates : edge of the tropics.
● Cold Desert Climates : temperate zones.
Climate type :
Hot Deserts : very hot during the day and cold at night.
Cold Deserts : hot in summer and cold in winter.
Very low precipitation (less than 250 mm per year ).
Very few plants can grow, except plants that are adapted to dry
conditions, like cacti.
The fauna includes reptiles, insects, birds of prey and mammals.

LIFE IN THE DESERT CLIMATE
POPULATION:
The population of the deserts is very scanty due to the difficult natural
Conditions.
THE TRADICIONALS ACTIVITIES of the peoples of the desert are the
hunt and the harvest.
THE MODERN ACTIVITIES that practise themselves in the desert
are the extraction of minerals, the tourism, the rachig and the
agriculture.
TROPICAL CLIMATE
LOCATION:edge of the tropics
Climate type:
●Hot,not much change in the temperature by seasosn or between
day and night.
●High precipitation(500 to 2000 mm per year) wich is variable
through the year.there is a dry season and a rainy season.
Savanna
Grassland with some deciduous shrubs and trees,,including:
●baobab
●Acacia
Fauna: is varied, there are hervivores, carnivorous and animals
wich feeds on carrion.
PICTURES
LIFE IN THE TROPICAL CLIMATE
The population centers on the coasts,in the valleys and deltas of the
big rivers, and in the zones of moderate altitud.
The tradicional activities are the agriculture of cleared grounds
The modern activities are the agriculture of plantation, the
commercial ranching and the tourism.
TEMPERATE CLIMATE
MEDITERRANEAN CLIMATE
Location : around the Mediterranean Sea plus other areas including
parts of California.
Climate type :
● Hot in summer and mild in winter
● Fairly low precipitation, mainly in winter.
● Very dry in summer.
MEDITERRANEAN FOREST
Forest with :
● Evergreen trees including cork oak, holm oak and pine.
● Shrubs like lavender and rosemary.
The fauna includes mammals, rodents, a lot of reptiles, insects and
birds of prey.
PICTURES
LIFE IN THE MEDITERRANEAN
CLIMATE
The populaton of the mediterranean climate is very dense.
The tradicional activities are the ranching transhumante, the
dryland farming and the irrigation agriculture.
The modern activities are the industrial ranchig, the vegetable
garden agriculture and especially, the industry and the services
(tourism).
OCEANIC CLIMATE
Location : most of northern and central Europe, plus many other parts
of the world, including New Zealand.
Climate type :
● Mild all year
● High precipitation all year.
HEATHLAND
Unfertile land with shrubs and low vegetation.
In higher, wetter areas, this type of vegetation is sometimes called
moor.
DECIDUOUS FOREST
Forest with broad-leaved deciduous trees including oak, beech and
ash.
Fauna is very varied: little rodents, hervivore, carnivore, omnivorous,
fowls, amphibians, reptiles and insects.
PICTURES
LIFE IN THE OCEANIC CLIMATE
The population is ancient and very numerous in Europe, and more
recent and scanty in America and Oceania
The tradicional activities adapt to the natural conditions,In
Western Europe, the agriculture was practised in surround fields and
in Central Europe it was prevailing the agriculture in opened fields.
In America,it is not taking advantage of forest and in Oceania, for
meadowws, where breeding bovine and sheep cattle.
The modern activities are the agriculture and the ranching
mechanised and especially, the industry and the services, which
assemble in the cities.
CONTINENTAL CLIMATE
Location : northern parts of northern hemisphere, particularly North
America and Asia.
Climate type :
● Hot in summer and very cold in winter.
● Moderate precipitation only in summer.
TAIGA
Forest with conifers like pine and fir. Found in northern areas with
long winters.
PRAIRE
Grassland with tall grasses. Fopund in wetter, milder areas,
especially inland on plains.
STEPPE
Grassland with short grasses. Found in warmer, drier areas.
Fauna must adapt to the cold winter .It includes carnivore,
herbivore,, omnivorous, migrating birds and insects.
PICTURES
LIFE IN THE CONTINENTAL
CLIMATE
The population is scanty the taiga, American meadows and in the
Steppes of Central Asia. In the zone of Central and Oriental Europe the
Density of population is high.
The tradicionals activities in the taiga were the hunt, the fishing and the
Ranching of reindeers.
The modern activities of the taiga are related to the exploitation of the
wood.In the meadow the mechanised agriculture and in the steppes,
The farming of the cotton and rise.
COLD CLIMATE
POLAR CLIMATE
Location:near the poles, in the Arctic and Antartic.
Climate type :
Cold, temperatures as low as -50 ºC in winter and up to +10ºC in
summer.
Low precipitation (around 300 mm per year), which falls as snow.
TUNDRA
Trees can't grow at very low temperatures. There are only small
shrubs and loww vegetation like moss and lichen.
In many places the soil is permanently frozen – this is called
permafrost.
FAUNA
The fauna is protected from the cold by abundant hair and thick
layers of fat. In the polar ica-cap only seals, penguins and polar bears
live there. In the tundra the fauna is more varied.
PICTURES
LIFE IN THE POLAR CLIMATE
The population is very scanty. In the north pole the eskimoes live, in
the north of Scandinavia, the lapps and in Siberia, the yakuti. The
south pole was deserted but now there is life.
The traditional activities of the Arctic have been the fishing of
whales, seals and walruses, from them food, skins and oil were
obtained to light up, the hunt of birds and polar bears, and also
ranching of reindeers.
The modern activities in the Arctic are the estabulada ranching and
commercial of reindeers, the breeding of animals of expensive skins
for the sale, the agriculture in greenhouses and the exploitation of
minerals, oil and gas.
ALPINE CLIMATE
Location : high mountain areas all over the world (usually above 3000
m).
Climate Type :
● Cold: very cold in winter and cool in summer.
● High precipitation, often falls as snow.
● Temperatures are lower and precipitation is higher at highers altitudes.
The vegetation changes with altitude. Trees can only grow below the
tree line. Also, fewer plants grow in windy areas.
TUNDRA
At the highest altitudes, there is only low vegetation like moss, lichen
and wildflowers.
HEATHLAND OR MOOR
Above the tree line there are only shrubs and low vegetation.
TAIGA
Below the three line, there is taiga, which is a forest with conifers like
pine and fir.
The fauna changes accordng to the altitude and the latitude. It includes
animals as the mountain goat and different types of birds of prey.
PICTURES
LIFE IN THE ALPINE CLIMATE
The population of the high mountain is scanty because of the cold and
to the lack of oxygen. There are many of population in the middle
mountain of the hot zone, while in the temperate zone of the middle
mountain there is few population due to abundant snowfalls in winter.
The most predominant traditional activities in the mountains of the
hot zone are the agrarian activities as the farming of corn, potato, coffee
and vegetables. And in the mountains of the temperate region, it is the
ranching and the forest exploitation.
The modern activities in the hot zone are the farming of plantation and
the cattle ranching. In the temperate region, the extraction of minerals ,
the hiking, the mountain-climbing among others.

TROPICAL RAINFOREST (JUNGLE) Forest with many different plants.Mainlybroadleaf evergreen trees including ebony and mahogany Plants grow quickly in the hot and damp conditions The fauna in the forest is very varied
  • 3. LIFE IN THE ECUATORIAL CLIMATE. POPULATION There is few population due to natural conditions and important diseases. TRADITIONAL ACTIVITIES Compilation of fruits, the hunt and the fishing. Nowadays they practise a rudimentary agriculture. MODERN ACTIVITIES They are based principally on felling trees to trade with wood as the mahogany or the teak. Strong desforestation , which produces decrease of the level of oxygen of the Earth, increase of the erosion of the soil , threat of the survival of the living things and native people.
  • 4. DESERT CLIMATE Location : ● Hot Desert Climates : edge of the tropics. ● Cold Desert Climates : temperate zones. Climate type : Hot Deserts : very hot during the day and cold at night. Cold Deserts : hot in summer and cold in winter. Very low precipitation (less than 250 mm per year ). Very few plants can grow, except plants that are adapted to dry conditions, like cacti. The fauna includes reptiles, insects, birds of prey and mammals.
  • 6. LIFE IN THE DESERT CLIMATE POPULATION: The population of the deserts is very scanty due to the difficult natural Conditions. THE TRADICIONALS ACTIVITIES of the peoples of the desert are the hunt and the harvest. THE MODERN ACTIVITIES that practise themselves in the desert are the extraction of minerals, the tourism, the rachig and the agriculture.
  • 7. TROPICAL CLIMATE LOCATION:edge of the tropics Climate type: ●Hot,not much change in the temperature by seasosn or between day and night. ●High precipitation(500 to 2000 mm per year) wich is variable through the year.there is a dry season and a rainy season. Savanna Grassland with some deciduous shrubs and trees,,including: ●baobab ●Acacia Fauna: is varied, there are hervivores, carnivorous and animals wich feeds on carrion.
  • 9. LIFE IN THE TROPICAL CLIMATE The population centers on the coasts,in the valleys and deltas of the big rivers, and in the zones of moderate altitud. The tradicional activities are the agriculture of cleared grounds The modern activities are the agriculture of plantation, the commercial ranching and the tourism.
  • 10. TEMPERATE CLIMATE MEDITERRANEAN CLIMATE Location : around the Mediterranean Sea plus other areas including parts of California. Climate type : ● Hot in summer and mild in winter ● Fairly low precipitation, mainly in winter. ● Very dry in summer. MEDITERRANEAN FOREST Forest with : ● Evergreen trees including cork oak, holm oak and pine. ● Shrubs like lavender and rosemary. The fauna includes mammals, rodents, a lot of reptiles, insects and birds of prey.
  • 12. LIFE IN THE MEDITERRANEAN CLIMATE The populaton of the mediterranean climate is very dense. The tradicional activities are the ranching transhumante, the dryland farming and the irrigation agriculture. The modern activities are the industrial ranchig, the vegetable garden agriculture and especially, the industry and the services (tourism).
  • 13. OCEANIC CLIMATE Location : most of northern and central Europe, plus many other parts of the world, including New Zealand. Climate type : ● Mild all year ● High precipitation all year. HEATHLAND Unfertile land with shrubs and low vegetation. In higher, wetter areas, this type of vegetation is sometimes called moor. DECIDUOUS FOREST Forest with broad-leaved deciduous trees including oak, beech and ash. Fauna is very varied: little rodents, hervivore, carnivore, omnivorous, fowls, amphibians, reptiles and insects.
  • 15. LIFE IN THE OCEANIC CLIMATE The population is ancient and very numerous in Europe, and more recent and scanty in America and Oceania The tradicional activities adapt to the natural conditions,In Western Europe, the agriculture was practised in surround fields and in Central Europe it was prevailing the agriculture in opened fields. In America,it is not taking advantage of forest and in Oceania, for meadowws, where breeding bovine and sheep cattle. The modern activities are the agriculture and the ranching mechanised and especially, the industry and the services, which assemble in the cities.
  • 16. CONTINENTAL CLIMATE Location : northern parts of northern hemisphere, particularly North America and Asia. Climate type : ● Hot in summer and very cold in winter. ● Moderate precipitation only in summer. TAIGA Forest with conifers like pine and fir. Found in northern areas with long winters. PRAIRE Grassland with tall grasses. Fopund in wetter, milder areas, especially inland on plains. STEPPE Grassland with short grasses. Found in warmer, drier areas. Fauna must adapt to the cold winter .It includes carnivore, herbivore,, omnivorous, migrating birds and insects.
  • 18. LIFE IN THE CONTINENTAL CLIMATE The population is scanty the taiga, American meadows and in the Steppes of Central Asia. In the zone of Central and Oriental Europe the Density of population is high. The tradicionals activities in the taiga were the hunt, the fishing and the Ranching of reindeers. The modern activities of the taiga are related to the exploitation of the wood.In the meadow the mechanised agriculture and in the steppes, The farming of the cotton and rise.
  • 19. COLD CLIMATE POLAR CLIMATE Location:near the poles, in the Arctic and Antartic. Climate type : Cold, temperatures as low as -50 ºC in winter and up to +10ºC in summer. Low precipitation (around 300 mm per year), which falls as snow. TUNDRA Trees can't grow at very low temperatures. There are only small shrubs and loww vegetation like moss and lichen. In many places the soil is permanently frozen – this is called permafrost. FAUNA The fauna is protected from the cold by abundant hair and thick layers of fat. In the polar ica-cap only seals, penguins and polar bears live there. In the tundra the fauna is more varied.
  • 21. LIFE IN THE POLAR CLIMATE The population is very scanty. In the north pole the eskimoes live, in the north of Scandinavia, the lapps and in Siberia, the yakuti. The south pole was deserted but now there is life. Climate Type : ● Cold: very cold in winter and cool in summer. ● High precipitation, often falls as snow. ● Temperatures are lower and precipitation is higher at highers altitudes. The vegetation changes with altitude. Trees can only grow below the tree line. Also, fewer plants grow in windy areas. TUNDRA At the highest altitudes, there is only low vegetation like moss, lichen and wildflowers. HEATHLAND OR MOOR Above the tree line there are only shrubs and low vegetation. TAIGA Below the three line, there is taiga, which is a forest with conifers like pine and fir. The fauna changes accordng to the altitude and the latitude. It includes animals as the mountain goat and different types of birds of prey.
  • 24. LIFE IN THE ALPINE CLIMATE The population of the high mountain is scanty because of the cold and to the lack of oxygen. There are many of population in the middle mountain of the hot zone, while in the temperate zone of the middle mountain there is few population due to abundant snowfalls in winter. The most predominant traditional activities in the mountains of the hot zone are the agrarian activities as the farming of corn, potato, coffee and vegetables. And in the mountains of the temperate region, it is the ranching and the forest exploitation. The modern activities in the hot zone are the farming of plantation and the cattle ranching. In the temperate region, the extraction of minerals , the hiking, the mountain-climbing among others.
