How do you decide what information and images to post online? Well we really believe that you have to use your own judgment. Obviously you shouldn’t post any revealing pictures on the internet, or give out your personal information. Sure you can put your thoughts on things, or opinion on the internet but you have to be careful of what you say.
What information and images are OK to post? What is not OK to post? Well as far as information goes, a lot of websites ask what hobbies you have or what kind of music you like, we think that is ok because it cant hurt anyone or yourself. But we do not think that you should put your address or phone number on the internet. Pictures are great to show people, but you should not put any pictures that are revealing or offensive to anyone.
Do you know who can see the things you post? Well everyone can really see it, if they have internet access. That’s why you should not really post anything that you would not want other people to see. We also know that there is software out there that can see what things you look at on the internet, we should all keep that in mind.
Who do you friend? What helps you decide? You friend people you know, if you friend someone you don’t know you should make sure that they are safe to talk to. But we suggest that you should only friend people you know. If you REALLY want to friend a stranger, maybe because you have mutual friends with that person, you should ask the friend you have in common about that person.
List 5 “do’s” and 5 “Don’ts” for online Security. Don'ts Don’t put your address online Don’t put your phone number online Don’t put any revealing pictures online Don’t visit any sites that are inappropriate Don’t friend any strangers Do’s If you are going to write something online, make sure its something you wouldn’t want for your parents to see Keep your password to yourself Only friend people you know Only put appropriate pictures online Always think, before you post, download, or look.

  • 2. How do you decide what information and images to post online? Well we really believe that you have to use your own judgment. Obviously you shouldn’t post any revealing pictures on the internet, or give out your personal information. Sure you can put your thoughts on things, or opinion on the internet but you have to be careful of what you say.
  • 4. Do you know who can see the things you post? Well everyone can really see it, if they have internet access. That’s why you should not really post anything that you would not want other people to see. We also know that there is software out there that can see what things you look at on the internet, we should all keep that in mind.
  • 5. Who do you friend? What helps you decide? You friend people you know, if you friend someone you don’t know you should make sure that they are safe to talk to.
