Li-Fi (Light Fidelity)
is a bi-directional, high speed and fully
networked wireless communication technology
similar to Wi-Fi.
The term was coined by Harald Haas,
who teaches at the University of Edinburgh.

A constant current is applied to an LED light bulb and a constant
stream of photons are emitted from the bulb which is observed as
visible light.
