How to make pempek  revisi
Purpose:
To help us do a task or make something.
They can be a set of instructions or
directions.
Text organization:
1) Goal (the final purpose of doing the
instructions)
2) Materials
(ingredients, utensils, equipment to do
the instructions)
3) Steps (a set of instructions to achieve the
final purpose)
Do you like eating
traditional food? Have you
ever heard about “pempek”?
Well, pempek is
fishcake, traditional food from
South Sumatera. Let me
explain how to make it.
Read the following text carefully.
First, mix a kilogram of minced fish
meat with a small cup of water.
Don‟t forget to add some salt to taste
while stirring the mixture.
Next, add ½ kilogram of
cassava flour (sago) into the
mixture.
Then, make the mixture into the
dough by stirring it until smooth
and easily shaped.
After that, the dough can be made into
various types of pempek by
boiling, steaming, frying or grilling.
Finally, after being cooked the
pempek is ready to serve with a
dark sauce called cuko. It‟s
easy, isn‟t it?

Cooking Rice
Well, to cook rice you will need some rice and
water. Now, let me tell you steps of cooking rice.
Listen carefully. First, wash some rice in cold
water. Like this. Second, put the rice with some
water in a pot. Then, boil and cool it slowly for
about 20 minutes. (After 20 minutes) See, there
is no more water now. After that, put the rice to
the simmer and steam it for about 45 minutes.
Now, the rice is ready to be served.

  • 8. Do you like eating traditional food? Have you ever heard about “pempek”? Well, pempek is fishcake, traditional food from South Sumatera. Let me explain how to make it. Read the following text carefully.
  • 9. First, mix a kilogram of minced fish meat with a small cup of water. Don‟t forget to add some salt to taste while stirring the mixture.
  • 10. Next, add ½ kilogram of cassava flour (sago) into the mixture.
  • 11. Then, make the mixture into the dough by stirring it until smooth and easily shaped.
  • 12. After that, the dough can be made into various types of pempek by boiling, steaming, frying or grilling.
  • 13. Finally, after being cooked the pempek is ready to serve with a dark sauce called cuko. It‟s easy, isn‟t it?

Second, put the rice with some water in a pot. Then, boil and cool it slowly for about 20 minutes. (After 20 minutes) See, there is no more water now. After that, put the rice to the simmer and steam it for about 45 minutes. Now, the rice is ready to be served.
