Value to our partner
Our partner, a third-party distributor in Taiwan, sought a top-quality multi-asset investment product
to add to its range and to enhance its position in a dynamic and highly competitive domestic
market. To be successful and effective, the product needed to adhere to rigorous reporting and
regulatory requirements while meeting challenging investor demands.
We worked in close cooperation with our distribution partner in Taiwan to co-develop the total-
return product that had the ingredients to make it attractive to investors. After sharing and
exchanging local market intelligence and product knowledge, we jointly selected a high-quality
multi-asset strategy and tailored it to meet our partner’s specific needs. The final product included
variations to fulfill investors’ requirements and preferences regarding such aspects as currency-
hedging and dividend payouts. To comply with strict local regulations, we created a custom
reporting system in which we stepped up the frequency and level of detail of our reports. And to
further ensure that our partner was able to act as an effective and credible distributor of our
product, we kept them constantly up-to-date with regard to our strategist’s views of the global
economy and financial markets, and their insights into asset allocations.
With the benefit of a specifically tailored investment product backed by the asset manager’s
insights and views, our partner has been able to stand out in a crowded market and generate
significant new business. The frequent level of reporting they receive enables them to track our
thinking about market developments and the reasons behind our investment decisions. Our partner
is able to present these views convincingly and credibly to clients, confident in the knowledge that
these views are reflected in the multi-asset strategy that we manage.
