Number of grains are distributed according ASTM grain size number.
In some specimen The grain size should not be described by a single average
value, as it is quite possible that there will not be any actual grains of that size
in the specimen; or, the average chosen may be in one of the tails of the two
grain size distributions. The best approach is to determine the area percentage
of each grain size distribution and the average grain size of each distribution in
specimens with a duplex or bimodal grain size distribution, as described in
Methods E 1181.

   Procedure
   Graphite features as per their shape factors are separated
    in type I to Type VII. Percentage nodularity is calculated
    considering type I ,II & III per Sq.mm with press of just a
    click. Distribution can be obtained as per the size.
   Image stitching facility can be used if analysis is required
    on total 1 mm sq. by stitching/tiling of images.
   Under the etched condition one can directly estimate
    percentage of graphite, pearlite and ferrite.

The system automatically measures filters where cleaning fluid of micro
mechanic and engine components has been poured through, and dried in
an oven. The size and number of particles measured on these filters are
used for characterising the cleanliness of the components to international
quality requirements or to those defined by the customer.

The intuitive user interface guides you through each function, making it
significantly quicker and easier to operate. Each detected feature can be
defined referring to geometric parameters and optical behavior such as
length, width and aspect ratio, to separate fibres from compact particles
as well as to differentiate between metallic and non-metallic features.
