Root Canal Treatment (RCT) is a routine procedure that need not be feared. In this presentation, we have explained the RCT procedure in very simple terms. All treatment related costs are mentioned on our website http://www.noidadentalcare.com
2. Before starting a Root Canal Treatment, we take a Digital
X-Ray to check the tooth anatomy and to ensure that a
Root Canal Treatment is required.
3. Once the X-Ray examination confirms the requirement
of a Root Canal Treatment, we numb the tooth so that
you have a pain free experience.
4. We then isolate the tooth with a Rubber Dam to ensure
a bacteria free operating field.
5. We wait for the tooth to get numb and once it is numb,
we begin the treatment by drilling your tooth with an
aim to reveal the opening of the infected roots.
6. Once the root openings are exposed, we start the
process of disinfecting the roots by cleaning and shaping
them with the aid of dental files and various disinfecting
solutions.
7. In between the procedure, we use an Apex Locator to
confirm if we have reached the proper working length of
the roots.
8. Once the roots are properly disinfected, they are filled
with a special filling material and sealed.
9. Once the roots are sealed the tooth is filled with the
normal dental filling material and prepared for a crown
to be fixed on to it.
10. This complete procedure takes between 3 to 5 sittings
based on the severity of the infection present.
Once done, you have a normal, pain free and a
functional tooth for life
