Social network ที่น่าสนใจ My Space My Space คือ Web Blog ที่ทาง msn ให้ผู้ที่ใช้ msn ได้เข้าไปใช้บริการกัน โดย My Space มีลักษณะ เฉพาะคล้ายๆ Dairy แต่จะมีความหลากหลายมากกว่า เพราะในบล็อก ผู้ที่เป็นเจ้าของเนื้อที่นั้น จะเป็นผู้ที่ดูแลเนื้อหา ว่า จะให้เป็นแนวไหน หรือว่าจะเป็นเนื้อเรื่องอะไร ซึ่งลักษณะเด่นแบบนี้จึงมีผู้นำเอา My Space มาทำเป็น Web Dairy กัน

Social network ที่น่าสนใจ Face Book มีลักษณะเดียวกับ myspace ที่อนุญาตให้ผู้ใช้สร้าง หน้าเว็บของตัวเอง และใส่ข้อมูลต่างๆ ตามต้องการ โดยระบบสามารถค้นหาผู้ใช้ที่มีความสนใจตรงกัน ส่วนประกอบหลัก คือส่วนของข้อมูลผู้ใช้ ส่วนแสดงจำนวนเพื่อนในกลุ่ม กิจกรรมที่สนใจ และพื้นที่สาธารณะ ( ที่เรียกว่า wall) ซึ่งผู้เข้าเยี่ยมชมสามารถเขียนข้อความไว้ได้ ข้อความบน wall นี้ผู้ใช้สามารถกำหนดให้เฉพาะเพื่อนในกลุ่มเห็นหรือเปิดให้ทุกคนเห็นก็ได้ นอกจากนี้ facebook อนุญาตให้ผู้ใช้งานอัพโหลดรูป และให้ผู้ใช้ตั้งกลุ่มทางสังคม หรือแฟนคลับต่างๆ ได้ด้วย ปัจจุบัน facebook มีอิทธิพลค่อนข้างสูงในสังคม Social network

Social network ที่น่าสนใจ Twitter คือเว็บไซต์ที่ให้บริการ blog สั้น หรือที่ภาษาอังกฤษเรียกกันว่า Micro-Blog ซึ่งสามารถให้ผู้ใช้ส่งข้อความของตนเอง ให้เพื่อน ๆ ที่ติดตาม twitter ของเราอยู่อ่านได้ และเราเองก็สามารถอ่านข้อความของเพื่อน หรือคนที่เราติดตามเค้าอยู่ได้ ซึ่ง twitter ก็ถือได้ว่าเป็นเว็บไซต์ประเภท social Media ด้วยเช่นกัน ในรูปแบบของ twitter นี้ ที่เรียกว่าเป็น blog สั้นก็เพราะว่า twitter ให้เขียนข้อความได้ครั้งละไม่เกิน 140 ตัวอักษร ซึ่งข้อความนี้เมื่อเขียนแล้วจะไปแสดงอยู่ในหน้า profile ของผู้เขียนนั่นเอง และจะทำการส่งข้อความนี้ไปยังสมาชิกที่ติดตามผู้เขียนคนนั้นอยู่ (follower) โดยอัตโนมัติ
