4. Capturing and Organizing Video, Audio, and Pictures

5. Before importing any media into Movie Maker, organize yourself by creating collections. Right click on COLLECTIONS and choose NEW COLLECTION. You can make as many collections as you need.

6. Click on Import Video Browse your computer for files that you need. Click IMPORT

7. Files will then import into MovieMaker

8. Click on Import pictures Browse your computer for files that you need

9. Click on Import audio Browse your computer for files that you need

10. Once video is imported, you may click and drag it to your movie project

11. Once the pictures have been imported, you may click and drag them to your movie project

12. To rearrange your images or videos, click and drag them to the desired location.

14. To add music click on SHOW TIMELINE

15. Click and drag music to the audio section

17. Editing Movies

18. To begin editing your movie click on SHOW STORYBOARD

20. The transition will show up between the two objects

22. You can add title slides at the beginning, slides with writing on it, titles after clips, and credits at the end.

26. Project File vs. Movie File Project.MSWMM Movie.WMV This file is for unfinished projects that you can edit and rearrange. You need Movie Maker to view and work with your unfinished project. This is a finished movie that you can’t go back and edit. You can share your movie with others (in an email or on a disc). You don’t need Movie Maker to view this file.
