Jazz Soul Beach Music Festival 2006 will be the first of its kind in the metro-
Atlanta area. This event will provide families a chance to spend time together,
have lots of fun and enjoy a scene that is different from the everyday hustle and
bustle of our great city. Jazz Soul Beach Music Festival will bring about 5,000
people to Lake Allatoona on Labor Day Sunday – families looking to spend
quality time together and leave no family member behind; and friends looking to
enjoy themselves and bond – all against the lovely backdrop of Lake Allatoona
and beautiful North Georgia mountains.
Jazz Soul Beach Music Festival also has multi-cultural appeal: the acts are well
known jazz artists; the venue offers many outdoor activities; and the music can
be enjoyed without being censored.

Lake Allatoona is a picturesque escape from the city that holds many treasures

the city; in the quaint town of Cartersville, Georgia.

9. About Jazz Soul Music Group
Mission
To create and promote venues for people to enjoy great music live, across
diverse audiences.
Background
Founder Darren Glenn is a native of Augusta, Georgia. He has been
producing and promoting music events in the Atlanta area as far back as
1994, when he produced the Diamonds and Pearls Variety Talent Showcase.
This dynamic series helped launch the careers of Atlanta-based recording
stars Usher and Monica; as well as comedy sensations Mo’nique and
Earthquake.
Glenn himself comes from a musical family (his uncle is the Godfather of
Soul, James Brown); he studied music from childhood including playing with
the Augusta Symphony Orchestra and in high school bands. A self-described
“lifelong music student,” Glenn’s desire is to expose people to music that has
meaning and that exhibits “truly original expression.”
