Dharamshala is a city located in northern India. It is located in the Kangra Valley in the lower Himalayas and is surrounded by dense forests with views of the Dhauladhar mountain range. Dharamshala is best known as the headquarters of the Tibetan exile government and home to the Dalai Lama and many Tibetan Buddhist monasteries, temples, and cultural institutions.
