  • 2. Objectives: Attendees will use value-added data – for goal setting and school improvement. – to help teachers identify specific areas for improving student growth in their classrooms. – to identify at-risk and enrichment students. – to inform parents of their child’s progress.

Why? • What conclusions can you draw from the data about ability grouping? – Is what we're doing working? Why or why not? • What is happening to the achivement gap? – If it's widening or staying the same, what can we do to close it?
  • 11. Now What??? We can look at actual student OAA performance from this group and see that 15 students were only proficient in Reading Processes whereas ALL students were above proficient for Literary Text. We found an area of strength and an area for improvement!!!
