4. SUPERLATIVES AND
COMPARATIVES
In English when we compare two things we use adjectives
and three degrees: positive, comparative and superlative.
Degrees of Adjectives
Adjectives have three degrees of comparison.? Grade
positive, comparative degree, superlative:

tall taller the tallest
big bigger the biggest
intelligent more intelligent the most intelligent
expensive more expensive the most expensive
5. VERBS
The verb is the part of speech or lexical category that
expresses existence, action, achievement, status or
condition of the subject. Verbs can be classified into two
types: regular and irregular.
7. PRESENT PROGRESSIVE
Present Continuous or Present Progressive tense is used to
express actions happening at the same time they are talking,
for example:
I am speaking Ingles. I'm speaking English.
(It is happening now).
9. Past Progressive
The Past Progressive is a past tense, which is used to
talk about the development of an action that took place
in a certain time, or do not know which end is
irrelevant, as well as to express that an action took
place when another interrupted and ultimately refer to
actions occurring simultaneously.
When you called I was cooking lunch.
Cuando me llamaste yo estaba preparando el almuerzo.
He arrived when she was washing her hair.
Él llegó cuando ella estaba lavando su cabello.
They were running away when the police appeared.
Ellos estaban huyendo cuando apareció la policía.
He was playing golf when he heard the news.
Él estaba jugando golf cuando oyó las noticias.
We were waiting for the bus when she saw us.
Estábamos esperando el autobús cuando nos vio.
12. PAST SIMPLE
Simple Past tense is used to describe actions that have happened at an
earlier time and have already completed, for example:-She cleaned her
house. Ella limpió su casa.
-I broke the window. Yo rompí la ventana.
Here we see that conjugation in Spanish equivalent to the Past Indefinite.
Note that the sentence structure is similar to the Simple Present:
