I have chosen the book The hound of the Baskerville by Arthur Conan Doyle for
the second term reader, because a classmate who read it in the first term
recommended it to me.
Although I couldn´t swap the book with a classmate I know the opinion of one of
them because we spoke about the books in class and he told me that the novel is
amusing and easy to read.
The hound of the Baskerville is a mystery novel about the investigation of a
crime in Devonshire. Dr. Mortimer asks for help to Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson,
the main characters.
People from Devonshire County believed in a tale of a legendary huge ghost dog,
which killed people who walked across the moor at night.
I agree with my classmate because I read the book quickly, although I have to
search some words in the dictionary.
I found the novel quite entertaining, as are usually Sherlock Holmes’s cases and
for this reason I would recommend it.
Curiously, there is a link between the two books that I have read this course. The
hound of the Baskerville is the Christopher's favorite book, who is the main character
of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, the book that I read in the first
term.
