This document provides a 4-step tutorial for publishing an Android application on the Android Market: 1. Create a publisher account on the Android developer website. This requires filling out personal and payment information. 2. Prepare your application release. Test your app, include necessary files, get API keys if needed, create app icons and license agreements. 3. Sign your application. Export and sign your app using a private key that is generated during this process. 4. Upload your signed application to the Android Market for distribution. 13. If you have any test-cases or debugging code you
should remove it
Test your release version at least on one target
handset device and one target tablet device

14. You should provide android:versionCode and
android:versionName attributes in the application
<manifest>
Make sure all the multimedia and graphics files are
included in the project

15. You may need to get a Maps API release key if you
are using the Google Maps External Library.and
Prepare remote servers and services that your
applications depends on

16. You will also need to create an icon for your
application
You may want to prepare an End User License
Agreement (EULA)

17. Step 3

20. Export Signed Application

21. Browse

22. Choose your project

23. Create new keystore

24. Browse

25. Better name it as “yourprojectKeystore”
then hit save

26. Better choose easy password because you will be needing
it when updating the application in the future

27. Better name it as “yourprojectalias” does not matter if you
type it in capitals , it will automatically be changed into
lower case , Same to the password as before

then hit Save
