Thisaffects a number of industries such as pharmaceutical, biotechnology, environment, chemical, food to name a few.The challenge to replace animals with in vitro tests has proven to be exceptionally difficult. The convergence of test performance (sensitivity & specificity) with amenable technologies has not been possible for the majority of tests.
