Starting from September 2008, the Kaluga Center of
innovative laser technologies has been working
actively, established as part of the Russia-Germany
joint project to set up a network of regional laser
centers in Russian Federation.

13. Laser course
Training and advanced training of personnel
• The former is designed primarily for the
novices unaware of details of laser treatment
process. The purpose of basic training is to let
the people understand what the laser unit is
all about and explain to them the advantages
of their use.
• The latter are intended for the personnel in
charge of laser unit safety and industrial
hygiene.
• The training of the third type is also available
to those, who need to get a deeper insight into
the process and technological potential of
laser processing. They are also updated on the
specifics of laser use for parts designing and
manufacturing. This group involves operators,
process engineers, designers and projects
office staff.

14. Doors open days
Each Tuesday, starting from 10 a.m. and through 2 p.m. the Kaluga LITS
Laser Center hosts the Doors Open Day to welcome all interested people
and stakeholders, who are willing to know more about the capabilities of
the Center and its resources.
