2. An Exciting New Approach
The NYSHA Education Department has developed
a self-guided tour system for its popular Spring Field
Days program. Educators will appreciate the wide
range of subject matter covered at both Museums
and students will enjoy the free-spirited format that
encourages them to engage in a variety of activities.
Now that the curriculum has been finalized
a name needs to be developed.
5. Museum Centered
This direction uses the word museum in the title,
reinforcing the idea that students will travel to
two museums and engage with a variety of learning
experiences, all based in the museum collections.
For your audience, who has a choice between a wide
variety of field trips, these names work by solidifying the
type of trip with the first word then build excitement
and evoke movement with the second word.
6. Museum Hop
Museum Freehop
Museum Trekkers
Museum Odyssey
Museum Adventure
Museum Close-Up
8. Going on a Journey
This direction combines the ideas of learning/
exploring/seeing with the idea of a journey, travel or
movement. Some of these names refer specifically to
train travel, so that students could get their tickets
punched at each station. Regardless of the name,
a progressive punch-ticket idea can be used.
