2. Purpose:
 To determine advantage corneal cryo-
therapy to avoid evisceration in impending
prolapse of the eye ball due to descemetocele

3. Setting/Venue:
 Sumatera Eye Center, Medan, Indonesia

4. Methods:
 26 eyes of 26 patients suffered from
impending prolapse of the eye ball due to
descemetocele, underwent corneal cryo-
therapy, followed 1 week, 1 month and 3
month post operatively.

5. Results:
 26 patients achieved improving in thickness
and strength of the descemetocele wall. All
patients (100%) did not need any evisceration
and got successfully in saving the eye balls

10. Conclusion:
 Corneal cryo-therapy may be a potent
treatment to avoid evisceration in impending
prolapse of the eye ball due to descemetocele
