infusion at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Zion, IL,
tomorrow.
t Continue to pray for Shirley Jacobs who is awaiting
surgery for a hiatal hernia.
t Continue to pray for Fay Griffin’s friend, Dorothy Lyster,
who fell down a flight of stairs on 8/11 and is still in ICU in Kalamazoo and
for Kandi Carmen, Ethel Riemersma’s friend, who has Cushing’s Disease and
had surgery last Friday for a tumor on her pituitary gland.

severely burned, and Lois Cosby’s son, Gary, who was paralyzed from a

MICHIGAN’S VOICE: NO TAXES FOR ABORTION INSURANCE PETITION Parkside is taking part in gathering
signatures for a petition to initiate legislation to remove automatic abortion payments from health insurance. Thus, we
will not be forced to pay for someone else’s abortion and those who want it would have to purchase a separate rider
from any insurance plan in Michigan, whether public, private or plans under Obama Care. By gathering 400,000 valid
signatures throughout Michigan, we as citizens will be putting the legislation before our Michigan legislature for a veto-
proof vote. The governor’s signature will not be needed. If interested, please sign a petition located on the table
outside the church office. Be sure to sign on the correct page for your county. If you would be interested in taking
home a petition to have friends and family sign it, you can pick one up on the table. Sign up soon as we will be
mailing in the petitions on September 9.

Ladies Sunday School Class will begin!
This all new study explores the story around Gideon,
about God and His people – His love for them, as well as His
strength operating in spite of, even through, their weakness.
Gideon emerged as Israel’s hero, filled with God’s presence
and His passion for deliverance.
This all-women’s class will encourage us to recognize
our weakness as the key that the Lord gives us to unlock the
full experience of His strength in our life. If you’ve ever felt
insufficient, ill-equipped, incompetent, or outnumbered, this
study is for you.
This is a DVD led format with a study guide for the
teaching session notes and 5 days worth of personal reflec-
tions and questions. One week we will watch the DVD and
the next, we will discuss the study guide questions that
accompany that DVD session. This study will take 13 weeks
to complete, ending on December 15.
The cost of the study guide is $14.00. If you have

What do Jehovah’s Witnesses actually believe about Jesus Christ? What is the
difference between Sunni and Shi’ite Muslims? You will learn about the most
common world religions and cults and how they compare to Christianity, and
discover what to say to a friend, neighbor or co-worker of another faith.
