• The library is a quiet place; please be
respectful of others.
• Accelerated Reader tests may be taken in
the library only with a note from the
classroom teacher.
• Don’t be a book hog! Promptly return
books you finish or do not plan to read.
• Students are not allowed to bring food or
drinks into the library.

attempt to re-
shelve books
without
permission. If
you remove a
book from the
shelf, place it
on the cart.
4. • Do not loan books you check out to your friends.
Remember, you are responsible for returning
materials you borrow.
• No check out is allowed if you have overdue
books.
• Do not abuse your library privilege. We love to
have you in the library, but do not use it as an
excuse to get out of class repeatedly. You will
get caught!
5. USE OF LIBRARY COMPUTERSUSE OF LIBRARY COMPUTERS
• Library computers are
to be used to access
the card catalog, take
AR tests, and to do
research.
• Permission is required
for Internet use.
• Any student caught
accessing
inappropriate web
sites will be
disciplined. Again- you
will be caught!
6. Reading LevelsReading Levels
Books are labeled in the following way:
• Reading level 1.0 - 4.0 Blue
• Reading level 4.1 – 6.0 Green
• Reading level 6.1 – 12.0 Red
Reading level and point value is written inside the
front cover of the book.
12. Check OutCheck Out
• You must bring your
books to the
circulation desk to
check out. Books
taken from the library
without being checked
out are considered
stolen. This will be
considered a major
discipline problem and
may have to be dealt
with by the resource
officer.
13. Check OutCheck Out
• Books may be checked
out for two weeks.
• Check out will not be
allowed if you have an
overdue book.
• You may renew a book
for two additional
weeks if you bring it
to the library.
