3. • The legislative branch is made up of the two houses of
congress: the senate and the house of representatives.
• The legislative branch is responsible for making laws. These
laws are voted and discussed on in congress.
• There are 100 senators in the senate, two from each state.

laws, and makes them official.
• The President approves laws that have been passed by the
legislative branch.
• The executive branch includes the VP as well, and other members
of the cabinet. The cabinet is made up of the 15 major
departments of the government.
