Peter Newton has 12 years of architectural experience focused on the support,
coordination and implementation of facility projects. As a job captain, Peter will be

Jacobs Facilities Division provides full site adapt service for prototypical and
non-prototypical CVS/Pharmacy stores. Peter maintained an aggressive
schedule, efficient design, quality construction documents and contract
administration.
CVS Pharmacy Tenant Improvements, Multiple Locations, New Mexico
Jacobs Facilities Division provides full site adapt service for the conversion
of existing retail facilities to full functioning CVS retail outlets. Peter’s
services include site and building assessment and survey.
CVS Pharmacy Refresh Program, Multiple Locations, California, Louisiana & Texas
Jacobs Facilities Division provides full site adapt service for existing
CVS/Pharmacy stores to update, renovate and rebrand existing

Joint Base San Antonio Facility Condition Assessment, Fort Sam Houston, Texas
Jacobs Facilities Division conducted an architectural, structural, mechanical,
plumbing and electrical component assessment of all facilities on Fort Sam
Houston, Camp Bullis and Canyon Lake as well as 10% of representative
facilities on Lackland Air Force Base and Randolph Air Force Base.
US Cellular Retail Outlets, Multiple Locations, Wisconsin, Illinois & Indiana
Jacobs Facilities Division conducted an architectural, mechanical, plumbing
and electrical design services and studies for Tenant Improvements for this
cell phone service provider.

Jacobs Facilities Division conducted an architectural, civil, mechanical,

Arrowhead Ranch Industrial Park – Peoria, Arizona
Single story, 6 building, 80,000 SF, light industrial, master planned
community, adjacent to residential communities along the New River multi-
use park. Each tenant space is differentiated through design to provide visual
interest. A landscaped drive and parking area provide buffers between the
buildings and access through the site from the residential neighborhoods to
the park. Provided site planning, design, technical and construction
administration.
Avondale Coldwater I – Avondale, Arizona
a mixed-use development consisting of 2 retail, 2 single story office and 1
two story office buildings. Designed with a common theme provides cohesion
and identity to the complex. Visual interest through the use of materials,
colors and shading devices signify entry and public areas. A landscaped
drive provides a focal point for the development, ending at a fountain at the 2
story office structure. Provided site planning, design and technical
administration. Project is unbuilt.
Deer Valley Medical Center, Phoenix, AZ
Class A, five story, 85,526 SF medical office building located adjacent to
John C. Lincoln Hospital. A 4½ tier parking garage is connected by a
landscaped entry plaza. A two story elevator lobby, horizontal bands of
stucco and glass, a curved curtain wall and fifth floor balcony, and arcing
sunscreens create visual contrast and inviting amenities. Provided design
and technical administration. Developed by The Arivest Corporation and
Constructed by The Weitz Company.
Goodwill Industries of Central Arizona –Various Locations, Arizona
Retail roll out program of several new stand alone 20,000 SF stores.
Charged with designing a new identity and providing a pleasant experience
for patrons, cornice details, canopies and distinctive window treatments were
designed to provide the client with improved branding. Buildings were
developed as a part of larger master planned developments along street front
PADs. Provided site planning, design, technical and construction
administration.
Kustom Koachworks – Mesa, Arizona
New auto-body repair outlet, 15,000 SF. Designed to provide indoor and
outdoor covered working areas and paint booths. New corporate offices were
provided for the owner. Design included a master plan to develop 2 adjacent
sites. Corner glass provides a distinctive look to the cubist design. Provided
site planning and technical administration.
New River Plaza Lot 7 – Peoria, Arizona
New 15,000 SF retail center for up to 3 tenants, built in a master plan
development along the banks of New River. Designed around truck access
through a traffic control point on 83

Avenue, the building reflects the Tuscan
flavor preferred in the valley. Provided design and site planning
administration.

10,000 SF retail to trade building for an irrigation supplier. CMU structure
with the use of stone to signify entry. Alternating bands of different types or

Tube Specialties – Tempe, Arizona
Two story, 50,000 SF industrial manufacturing and office building for a high
tech manufacturer. Constructed of concrete tilt wall and design to accent the
main stair along the façade and in the 2-story entry space. Provided site
planning and design services.
RMJM, Inc. – Phoenix, Arizona
Class A, single story, 10,000 SF industrial office building designed for
professional clients. Concrete tilt wall construction to blend in with context.
Each tenant is marked with a distinctive canopy and tower feature. Provided
design and site planning services.
Cactus Stone – Phoenix, Arizona
Two story, 25,000 SF retail to trade building and showroom for a natural
stone supplier and installer. Constructed of concrete tilt wall with incised
reveal accents to break up the mass of the wall. Large stone water feature
located in the 2-story entry space, with an overhanging balcony. Provided
site planning and design services.
Select Aire – Chandler, Arizona
15,000 SF retail to trade building for an HVAC installer. The CMU structure
uses stone and canopies to signify entry. Alternating bands of different types
and colors of cmu the building visual impact. Provided site planning and
design administration.
Ewing Irrigation – Surprise, Arizona
12,000 SF retail to trade building for an irrigation supplier. CMU structure
with the use of stone to signify entry. Alternating bands of different types or
cmu and colors provide the building visual interest, along with the rusted
corrugated metal roof. A quite Olde West inspired building. Provide site
planning, design, technical and construction administration.

Scottsdale Ridge 2 – Scottsdale, Arizona
Two story, 2 building, 80,000 SF, light industrial development, part of a larger
master planned development. Designed on an angle to maximize site per the
WAMPA power line easements. Storage yards beneath the lines provide a
buffer between the residential areas to the east. Provided site planning and
design, technical administration.
Hampton Mesa – Mesa Arizona
Class A, five story, 85,526 SF medical office building located adjacent to

Dysart Industrial Condos – Surprise, Arizona
72,000 SF industrial condominiums spread across 3 buildings. Each is
stylized to provide variety and identity, but provide a common olde western
feel. Project is unbuilt, having been significantly redesigned at a later date to
fit the market. Responsible for site planning, design and construction
documents.

Barrio Metalico –Tucson, Arizona
A speculative small community of nine freestanding houses set within the
industrial neighborhood of Millville, conceived to enhance the neighborhood.
Embracing the industrial aesthetic. The exterior skin of each unit is corrugated
metal with a galvalume finish. An existing adobe structure was reused for
perimeter site walls mixed with distressed wood and corrugated metal gates
and infill salvaged from the area. Rainwater harvesting with metal culvert tanks
and super-insulated wall systems round out this award winning modern infill
village. Responsible for site survey, structural assessment, and design studies.
r+r residence – Tucson, Arizona
Situated in the Catalina Foothills, impressive mountain and desert wash views
provide a clear counterpoint to the curvy site. Sited with a pool and guest
house designed to preserve the natural landscape. Zoned into a central living
area with private rooms at the ends, provides unrestricted views to the north
and framed views to the south. Veirendeel steel trusses cantilever beyond a
partially depressed concrete cube, housing storage and space for music
performance. The guest house to the north completes the layout and reverses
its primary view back to the city lights. Responsible for site survey and design
studies.
Camp Lowell Corporate Center – Tucson, Arizona
Office condo and out-patient medical development consisting of two two-story
and ten single-story buildings. The project varies fenestration and entry
placement to create identity while maintaining a consistent look throughout,
recalling nearby Camp Lowell Historic Site. A simple site layout allows
complete easy access to each building and tenant. Property lines divide the
one story buildings into four distinct sellable areas. Rusted standing seam
roofs, exposed structural steel, integral color masonry and light gauge steel
trusses, allow for a column free interior and inherent flexibility. The Camp
Lowell Corporate Center was a joint architectural collaboration between the
offices of Rob Paulus Architect, Ltd. and Jim McMahon Architect. Responsible
for design development, construction documents and administration.
Ice House Lofts –Tucson, Arizona
Once Tucson’s ice manufacturing plant, the Ice House Lofts are 51 distinctive
residences located on the grounds of the 1923 Arizona Ice and Cold Storage
Company. The industrial structure is infused with 48 modern residential units, a
new triangular-shaped industrial building with 3 units, a pool house and a
storage building for tenants. Materials reclaimed from the interior gain new life
as courtyard and pool fencing while equipment used in the ice making process
are displayed as visual markers across the site. New balconies, fenestration
and shading devices contrast the old with the new, breaking up the scale.
Responsible for structural assessment, survey and early design studies.
University + 3rd Apartments – Tucson, Arizona
A former two story fraternity house turned into multi-room apartments. Historic
structure along Tucson’s modern streetcar line. The original rear screened
porch had to be replaced. New skylights were installed to give an open feeling
to the stair tower. Responsible for structural assessment, survey and
construction documents.

Alkek Institute of Biotechnology – Houston, Texas
A laboratory build out for the last floor of a research facility for the Houston
branch of Texas A&M University. Sited on the 4
th
floor of a 12 story research
tower in the Texas Medical Center. Included ADA upgrades to the existing
facility. Responsible for planning, construction documents and contract
administration.
Biological Science, Wet Lab – Austin, Texas
New 170,000 SF research facility for molecular biology, neurobiology and
microbiology on the University of Texas at Austin campus. The design of the
building had to adhere to the campus master plan, and incorporate nearby
historic and contemporary buildings, one by Cesar Pelli, into context. The plan
must also incorporate plans for future expansion. Situated on a steeply sloping
sight, provision had to be made for ADA. Working with Overland Partners, a
five-story structure with a central six-story heat recovery system for energy
conservation. Responsible for design development, construction documents
and contract administration.
Human Genetics Center – Houston, Texas
A relocation of an existing laboratory to an existing multi-floor tenant space in a
high rise tower in the Texas Medical Center. A division of the University of
Texas at Houston, the HGC is 50% labs and 50% offices. Occupying 2 floors of
the building. Responsible for contract administration.
Keith-Weiss Geological Laboratories Renovation Phase 1 – Houston, Texas
A three story teaching laboratory at Rice University. Designed in the 1950s as
part of a 4 building campus complex taking advantage of passive solar
technologies to encourage collegial interaction and climate control. Phase 1
included exterior passageways along the south façade were leveled for ADA
access and recaptured for additional laboratory and classroom space, with the
original precast concrete bri-soliel replaced with a curtain wall. Responsible for
assessment, site survey, construction documents and contract administration.
M.D. Anderson Biological Laboratories Renovation Phase 1 – Houston, Texas
A three story teaching laboratory at Rice University. Designed in the 1950s as
part of a 4 building campus complex taking advantage of passive solar
technologies to encourage collegial interaction and climate control. Phase 1
only occurred at the western half of the building, and included leveling the
exterior passageways along the south façade for ADA access ,and additional
laboratory and classroom space The original precast concrete bri-soliel was

De La Salle High School Gym Expansion – New Orleans, Louisiana
An addition and renovation of the existing gym to meet the needs of the
changing student body. Responsible for marketing, assessment, survey and 3-
D CAD model. Project remains unbuilt.
BellSouth Telecommunication Collocation Roll-Out Program - Louisiana
Maintained archive of 500 collocation projects at various telecommunications
buildings throughout Louisiana. Developed the schematic drawings and
contracts for each collocater, construction documents and as-builts.
Assessments and surveys were conducted to plan for the future growth of
collocation.
Red Cross Headquarters Relocation – New Orleans, Louisiana
A four story remodel of an existing structure. Responsible for assessment,
survey and code review.
Banco Agricola Headquarters Competition – San Salvador, El Salvador
Competition for a new 250,000 SF corporate headquarters and conference
center. Project included a 2 story retail podium atop an underground parking
garage, with a 6 story concrete tower cantilevering from the central core. An
Alle of trees draws customers into the site from the highway with the
Conference Center place to the rear. The project was designed in metric, and
is unbuilt. Responsible for 3D CAD models and schematic CAD drawings.
Entergy Command Center – New Orleans, Louisiana
A remodel to bring plumbing and parking facilities up to code. Responsible for
assessment and survey.
CNG, Inc. Corporate Consolidation – New Orleans, Louisiana
A Five floor consolidation of existing Tenant into a smaller space. Included
upgrade of conference area to meet corporate branding. Responsible for
assessment, survey and construction documents.
Oakwood Mall Roof Replacement - Gretna, Louisiana
A replacement of the roof over the original shopping concourse. Responsible
for assessment, survey and construction documents.
UNO-Navy Technology Center Building 3 – New Orleans, Louisiana
A Five floor speculative office building at the University of New Orleans for an
additional building for an existing tenant. Responsible for CAD conversion and
construction documents.

A single family home on the shores of the Bayou Barriteria. Responsible for the

Lake Carmel Development – New Orleans, Louisiana
A new single family residential development in the Eastover master planned
community. A street of 25 homes based on 5 floor plans and 3 choices of
siding. Responsible for developing the sales documents and prototype library
and construction documents.
Ward-Van der Voort Residence – Diamond Head, Mississippi
A single family home on the shores of the local inlet of Gulf. Responsible for
the design and construction documents.
Corley Residence – Lafayette, Louisiana
A single family home, designed in a traditional Acadian style. Responsible for

Two single family spec homes in prestidous North Shore neighborhoods.

The Monsanto Center at the Missouri Botanical Gardens – St. Louis, Missouri
A new 78,000 SF facility housing a world-class herbarium collection, library,
offices, and laboratories, built with sustainable practices. Designed for research
and preservation of the collections, the building has two distinct zones:
Reading and office areas to the south and collections to the north. Large
windows, angled ceilings and metal louvers, bounce natural light throughout
the office area, providing an open, collaborative atmosphere, while the
collections are heavily insulated and enclosed to maintain a constant
temperature and relative humidity. Research vestibules buffer the two zones.
Furnishings were carefully selected for longevity, flexibility, and maintenance.
Construction products were screened for recycled content, off-gassing, and re-
use. Bright colors were used to enliven the space. Site design incorporated
sustainable water retention through the use of native plantings to filter runoff.
Responsible for finish packages, contract administration design of
departmental cart and development of educational programs for the office,
marketing and the AIA.
Protein Technologies, Inc. – St. Louis, Missouri
A two story, 55,000 SF corporate tenant improvement for a spin off division of
Ralston Purina, located on the top floors of a 5 story building on the Ralston
campus. Existing space was constructed with demountable partitions, which
were rearranged to meet the current tenant’s needs. A new conference space
was added to the floor. Responsible for assessment, survey, construction
documents and contract administration.
The Racquet Club Ladue – Ladue, Missouri
A remodeling and additions to the restaurant and locker room areas. Both the
Men’s and Women’s Locker rooms were expanded and upgraded with added
amenities and spaces. A new locker room area was added for children, in a
remodeling of the existing locker room. The restaurant was expanded to
provide more garden seating. Responsible for 3D CAD models, pencil
renderings, assessment, survey, construction documents and contract
administration.
Central Presbyterian Church Centreat – Town & Country, Missouri
A new recreation and education complex for a future relocation of the church to
be closer to its congregation, the first Phase of a new master planned religious
campus in the west St. Louis suburbs. Anchored with a gymnasium on the
west, the building was built into the side of a steeply sloping site, with
classrooms and a teen club house to the east. A replacement church and
school are part of future phases. Responsible for schematic design.

Our Savior Lutheran Church – Fenton, Missouri
A two story classroom and single story multipurpose room addition to the
existing church and school. The additional classrooms allowed for a larger
school program, while the multipurpose room may be used by parishers and
students alike. Responsible for Design, 3D modeling, assessment, survey and
construction documents.
The Center of Clayton – Clayton, Missouri
A 150,000 SF recreation complex for the City of Clayton. Combined with the
High School, the facility includes 2 indoor pools, gyms, an indoor track, workout
and meeting rooms. Responsible for early design drawings.
Clayton High School - Clayton, Missouri
A complete seismic upgrade and renovation of the existing high school
complex, with a new commons and music program addition. Responsible for
the 3-D modeling of the commons.
Salvation Army Headquarters – St. Louis, Missouri
A three story tenant improvement for the Salvation Army of St. Louis. Project
included offices and a chapel. Most of the existing rooms were reused to
reduce cost and schedule. Responsible for Assessment, Survey, Design, and
construction documents.
