She had a really hard childhood but she overcomes it. At 19, she started in the
world of communications been the reporter at a radio station, and later, she
started University.
She won several beauty prizes. When she was 22, she moved to Baltimore,
where she was the presenter of a TV show. She had a special ability with the
camera. At 30, she was the TV hostess of the A.M. Chicago, which comes to the
number 1 thanks to her. Then, the program was called, The Oprah Winfrey
Show.
Oprah is also the editor of The Oprah Magazine, and has written several books.
In addition, she is also an actress. She has participated in films such as The
purple colour, The Butler or Beloved and in the TV series Drake & Josh. Winfrey
also produced films such as The Great Debates.
In 1991, she created a data base about child abuse, and now it exist a law called
Oprah-Bill. Winfrey is dedicated to help women and children all over the world,
so she uses each year some million dollars to help poor young people.
But that’s not all. She is considered the first billionaire black woman, as well as
the richest one in the USA.
