can’t be described in words, Keukenhof is
one of them. It is the most beautiful spring
garden in the world.
3. Where Keukenhof is situated now, was a hunting
area in the 15th century. Herbs for the kitchen
of the castle of Jacoba van Beieren were also
collected here; hence the name Keukenhof.

tulips, daffodils and hyacinths
fill over 32 hectares with
colour and fragrance. The
pavilions
feature

alternating flower and plant
shows. Numerous works of
art are shown to advantage
amongst the flowers.
5. Each year, Keukenhof chooses a special theme.
Next year’s theme is ‘Holland’. Traditional and
modern symbols alike will be used to illustrate
the theme throughout the park.
