29. We are a football school in Gothenburg. Students who come to us are loving football and
they want to combine it with their school work. The students have three trainings
sessions/week. Each session is 70 min. The ages of our students are 11-16. We have about
250 students. Our Students also have PE one time/week. In this session they get to try
different sports and dances. Right now we are waiting for our new facilities. The pictures
that you will see is how our new school will look like. We are moving in August 2015.
30. In the new building we are going to have a fullsize footballpith (artificial grass)
with a couple of thousend seats. Its also going to be a gym, sportshop,
restaurant and Café. Beside this pitch there will be two ”normal” sports halls, in-
and outside tennis- and beachvolleyball courts. The football club IFK
Gothenburg, that own a part of the school, are going to have their academy
here.
32. Another activity that´s going to be possible is skiing indoors! This means it will be
possible to ski everyday of the year. The skitrack is going to be about 1.2 km long.
33. From the café and football pitch it will be possible to look at the people who are skiing!
34. This picture is from one of the two artificial grasspitches that we have outside the
new school. In the background you can see the beachvolleyball court.
35. In this background you can see the grasspitches that we are using in the summer.
There are about 20 pitches.
36. Here is one of our coaches giving the girls instructions. The coach, Niclas Alexandersson,
has played over 100 games for Sweden´s national team. Our coaches have good
experience because they have been playing high up in the leagues and are very educated.
They have also studied leadership at the University of Gothenburg.
37. Although there are just girls in this picture, boys and girls train together in our school.
In the background you can see how our new building is rising!
38. We also play indoor(futsal). In this picture you can see our boy school team.
Both our girls and boys have won the Swedish championship!
39. Our students come from all around Gothenburg and many communities outside
of the city. They are all playing for different clubs. A couple of ex-students are
playing in the highest league in Sweden (17 years old) and youth national
teams. ”Through Football Motivation – To Language Education” is a project
that we have with a school in London (The UCL Academy). They have a
collaboration with the football club Tottenham Hotspur. The students have
contact with eachother on Skype and hopefully we can visit them this summer!?
We are also working with a collaboration with a school in Germany (Hamburg).
Maybe in the future we could be apart of your collaboration? If you want to
