2. What is Cognitive Theory? The creators of this theory is Wilhelm Wundt (1832–1920), Edward Titchener (1867–1927), and William James (1842–1920). It is a learning theory through psychology in which it attempts to explain human behaviors, by understanding the brain and the thought processes. It goes with the belief that humans are logical in the choices they make. Basically it is the belief that the human mind is like a computer.

3. The person who can use better judgments can make quick and correct decisions and can avoid anti-social behaviors. While people who commit crimes can have a cognitive defect which may make be the cause of faulty decision making. 4. Cognitive theory is used in many ways and even combines with behaviorism. It helps through information-procession and focuses on how to process, store, encode, retrieved, manipulation the information given in order to solve problems. Cognitive-behavioral therapy is based on the idea that our thoughts cause our feelings and behaviors, not external things, like people, situations, and events. This belief is beneficial because it leads the people to believe one can change the way they are feeling or acting.
