Replication Proposal
Outline of process to get widespread Celani
experiment replications

Martin Fleischman Memorial Project
www.quantumheat.org
Overview
The "Celani Cell" seems to be the most understandable and replicable LENR
demonstration to date.

Our Goal is to validate the science of LENR and promote widespread,
standardized, replications around the world.

The steps towards that end are:

 ● Step 1: Build Apparatus (In Progress)
 ● Step 2: Initial Calibration (In Progress)
 ● Step 3: Initial Replication (In Progress in Conjunction with Celani)
 ● Step 4: Facilitate Widespread Replication Effort
       ○ Start with key research institutions around the world
       ○ Then, offer replication kits to the world
Intro
Getting this effect validated is extremely timely
 ● Rossi has raised a lot of interest and hope
 ● Rossi still has not done anything to conclusively demonstrate he can create
the effect, leaving the skeptics strong
 ● If Rossi, Defkalion are revealed to be scams, then the whole field could be
   shut down again.
 ● At this moment there is a lot of interest and a better network to tap into than
ever before to help get this started.

We need to seize the opportunity to get this effect proven to the world.

To help make it irrefutable, the experiment, the procedures and the
organization must all be as transparent and understandable as possible

way he can.
Step 1: Build Apparatus
Must be clearly understandable
Like Francesco Celani's original, this apparatus must be easily understood and
open to scrutiny at all levels

 ● Clear quartz tube for visual inspection
 ● Easily traced wires and connections
 ● Openly publish the engineering drawings
 ● Hunt Utilities Group is even willing to provide power supply, instrumentation
package and release the hardware and software to the public domain as an
     open source project

Must be safe
 ● Well engineered to handle a rated pressure and temperature
     ○ Design to achieve 7 Bar, 300°C with appropriate safety factors
 ● Include a safety shield - 4.75 mm clear polycarbonate
 ● Pressure and temperature cycle each unit to ensure it meets design spec
 ● Include Gamma-Scout Geiger-Müller counter connected to a computer to
monitor and log alpha, beta and gamma radiations
Design and Prototype - Cell
Design and Prototype -
Safety Shield
Design and Prototype -
Instrumentation Package

• Still a first prototype, improvements are planned
• Engineered for maximum clarity on wiring and
    connections.
• Switches for power out to each element wire
• Computer controlled power option
• Will ship with a laptop pre-configured for data
collection and uploading to global data site
Step 2: Initial Calibration
Make 2 copies of initial apparatus
 ● Send one to team members in Europe - Nicolas and Mathieu
 ● Keep one at Hunt Utilities Group - Resilient Living Research Campus

Characterize thermally
 ● Load with standard NiChrome wire
 ● Perform initial power vs equilibrium temperature
   calibrations
     ○ Various pressures of Helium and Hydrogen gas
 ● Take thermal camera images of the glass surface
to estimate validity of thermal radiation heat estimate
Initial Calibration: In Process
Initial commissioning and calibration of first prototype is in process
Step 3: Initial Replication
Critical goals:
 ● Conclusively prove to us that the effect is replicable with different samples
of wire and attainable in our apparatus
 ● Develop a specific written procedure for other investigators to use in order
to exactly replicate the experiment and findings
 ● Test the procedure in near real time via video connection and near
simultaneous replication by Ryan in USA

Procedure:
 ● Arrange to ship length of Celani Wire to Ryan in USA (on going)
 ● Nicolas and Mathieu bring apparatus to Celani
 ● Keep a video conference connection open to Ryan & Bob
 ● Possibly verify calibration of power vs temperature
 ● Replace one NiChrome wire with Celani's wire
 ● Load with Hydrogen
 ● ...record procedure
Step 4: Facilitate Massive
Replication Effort
Goal: Orchestrate a large number of exact experimental replications that
unambiguously show excess heat.

 ● Survey all ICCF17 attendees for replication experiment suggestions
 ● Raise funds through crowdsourcing website, private donations, etc
 ● Announce the replication effort in all forms of media we can
 ● Solicit recommended and interested testing institutions

First round of replications - Small, exclusive group, to ideally include
respected organisations that have the highest capability for further study and
analysis of effect and research post experiment. These will be well documented
and publicized, including live broadcast, to raise excitement and credibility, and
firmly secure the "Celani Cell" as the defining experiment of the New Fire age.

Second round of replication - Offer many, many "Celani Cells" for sale with
appropriate instructions and liability waivers/disclaimers. Continue to document
the successful replications in a global replication data repository.
First Round of Replications
● Build between 5 and 10 apparati
● Select 1 or 2 institutions on each continent to perform the replication
  experiment
● Require conformance to initial test protocol
● Ship the apparatus
● Send a team to assist:
    ○ Technician/consultant
    ○ Videographer
    ○ Interpreter if necessary
● After the initial replication, the investigating institution is free to experiment
on their own, with a commitment to publish data and findings openly.
Global Data Flow
Data from the experiment will be collected with a pre-set up data acquisition system,
synched to a central database, and shared in near real time with the world.

                                                                 World-wide audience
  Replication
  Experiments

                                                       Web interface

Unified Data Repository For a preview of the web interface,
                                                      go to: http://www.hugllc.com/hugnetlab/
Second Round of
Replication
Offer copies of the cell for sale to any party interested in demonstrating the
effect or dummy cells to those wanting to have a piece of history. The
drawings will already be published, and the instrumentation will already be
open source, but many institutions will want to start on this research path with a
proven, reliable demonstration of the effect.

Sale of each one will have to be accompanied by a liability waiver.

Use the proceeds to continue promoting the validity of the effect and supporting
research.
How to Help
We need Publicity, Money, and Involvement

 ● Spread the word
 ● Website
 ● Facebook

 ● Donate on the Website
 ● Contribute to the Kickstarter/Indiegogo Campaign

 ● Contribute skills and expertise
 ● Discuss the engineering and the science on the forum
 ● Watch and help analyze the data as it comes out

  • 7. Step 1: Build Apparatus Must be clearly understandable Like Francesco Celani's original, this apparatus must be easily understood and open to scrutiny at all levels ● Clear quartz tube for visual inspection ● Easily traced wires and connections ● Openly publish the engineering drawings ● Hunt Utilities Group is even willing to provide power supply, instrumentation package and release the hardware and software to the public domain as an open source project Must be safe ● Well engineered to handle a rated pressure and temperature ○ Design to achieve 7 Bar, 300°C with appropriate safety factors ● Include a safety shield - 4.75 mm clear polycarbonate ● Pressure and temperature cycle each unit to ensure it meets design spec ● Include Gamma-Scout Geiger-Müller counter connected to a computer to monitor and log alpha, beta and gamma radiations
  • 9. Design and Prototype - Safety Shield
  • 10. Design and Prototype - Instrumentation Package • Still a first prototype, improvements are planned • Engineered for maximum clarity on wiring and connections. • Switches for power out to each element wire • Computer controlled power option • Will ship with a laptop pre-configured for data collection and uploading to global data site
  • 11. Step 2: Initial Calibration Make 2 copies of initial apparatus ● Send one to team members in Europe - Nicolas and Mathieu ● Keep one at Hunt Utilities Group - Resilient Living Research Campus Characterize thermally ● Load with standard NiChrome wire ● Perform initial power vs equilibrium temperature calibrations ○ Various pressures of Helium and Hydrogen gas ● Take thermal camera images of the glass surface to estimate validity of thermal radiation heat estimate
  • 12. Initial Calibration: In Process Initial commissioning and calibration of first prototype is in process
  • 13. Step 3: Initial Replication Critical goals: ● Conclusively prove to us that the effect is replicable with different samples of wire and attainable in our apparatus ● Develop a specific written procedure for other investigators to use in order to exactly replicate the experiment and findings ● Test the procedure in near real time via video connection and near simultaneous replication by Ryan in USA Procedure: ● Arrange to ship length of Celani Wire to Ryan in USA (on going) ● Nicolas and Mathieu bring apparatus to Celani ● Keep a video conference connection open to Ryan & Bob ● Possibly verify calibration of power vs temperature ● Replace one NiChrome wire with Celani's wire ● Load with Hydrogen ● ...record procedure
  • 14. Step 4: Facilitate Massive Replication Effort Goal: Orchestrate a large number of exact experimental replications that unambiguously show excess heat. ● Survey all ICCF17 attendees for replication experiment suggestions ● Raise funds through crowdsourcing website, private donations, etc ● Announce the replication effort in all forms of media we can ● Solicit recommended and interested testing institutions First round of replications - Small, exclusive group, to ideally include respected organisations that have the highest capability for further study and analysis of effect and research post experiment. These will be well documented and publicized, including live broadcast, to raise excitement and credibility, and firmly secure the "Celani Cell" as the defining experiment of the New Fire age. Second round of replication - Offer many, many "Celani Cells" for sale with appropriate instructions and liability waivers/disclaimers. Continue to document the successful replications in a global replication data repository.
  • 15. First Round of Replications ● Build between 5 and 10 apparati ● Select 1 or 2 institutions on each continent to perform the replication experiment ● Require conformance to initial test protocol ● Ship the apparatus ● Send a team to assist: ○ Technician/consultant ○ Videographer ○ Interpreter if necessary ● After the initial replication, the investigating institution is free to experiment on their own, with a commitment to publish data and findings openly.
  • 16. Global Data Flow Data from the experiment will be collected with a pre-set up data acquisition system, synched to a central database, and shared in near real time with the world. World-wide audience Replication Experiments Web interface Unified Data Repository For a preview of the web interface, go to: http://www.hugllc.com/hugnetlab/
  • 17. Second Round of Replication Offer copies of the cell for sale to any party interested in demonstrating the effect or dummy cells to those wanting to have a piece of history. The drawings will already be published, and the instrumentation will already be open source, but many institutions will want to start on this research path with a proven, reliable demonstration of the effect. Sale of each one will have to be accompanied by a liability waiver. Use the proceeds to continue promoting the validity of the effect and supporting research.
  • 18. How to Help We need Publicity, Money, and Involvement ● Spread the word ● Website ● Facebook ● Donate on the Website ● Contribute to the Kickstarter/Indiegogo Campaign ● Contribute skills and expertise ● Discuss the engineering and the science on the forum ● Watch and help analyze the data as it comes out ● Buy a kit when they become available and run the experiment in your lab
