OAID tools for UAB The Office of the Autonomous Interactive Teaching UAB is the body responsible for coordinating, promoting and developing the application of information technologies and communication technologies (ICT) systems in teaching methodology in the educational community of UAB. The UAB Virtual Campus is an IT platform for teaching purposes, which provides a Virtual Learning Environment to support classroom studies and the studies that do not allow attendance. Moodle Classrooms offer another learning environment, and are fully integrated into the Virtual Campus. UAB Blogs is a blog publishing tool that lets you keep your personal diary at UAB.

OAID tools for UAB UAB Wikis is a platform for academic use that provides a collaborative virtual environment to support various activities of the university community with the aim of disseminating knowledge working in network. UAB Pages is a tool for creating and maintaining Web pages which allow, in a simple way, to structure and edit the contents. Website containing teaching materials created by teachers for higher education and aims to provide a free, simple and consistent access to material and create a flexible movement based on a model of networking. UABtube videos allow the publication of academic videos.

Virtual IT Labs: based on Oracle Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, with an UAB specific connection broker Videoconference: Openmeetings and Adobe Connect based platforms, integrated to LMS Moodle Federation: experiences federating inter-department Moodle at UAB, with SSO based in CAS and central provisioning

Education: enterprise calendar, mail, docs and much more that supports public, personal, and group work. (SCAE) Social continuous assessment evaluation tool: assessment traceability for social and open tools

VLE & Social Learning: A Virtual learning environment (VLE) is a software system designed to facilitate teachers in the management of educational courses for their students, especially by helping teachers and learners with course administration. Social Networks on Higher Education (Recercaixa) OLN: The OLN model connects private and secure applications on the organization’s network (such as the student information system, content repository, assessments and transcripts) to open and flexible tools and applications in the cloud (such as blogs, social networks and non-proprietary content) via a services-oriented architecture Accessibility & Interoperability: LTI – Learning Tools Interoperability, AFA – Access For All, CP – Content Packaging, QTI – Question and Test Interoperability, LIS – Learning Information Services, LODE – Learning Object Discovery and Exchange.

Learning and digital competences in prison The Council of Europe's Recommendations on Education in Prison: “All prisoners shall have access to education, which is envisaged as consisting of classroom subjects, vocational education, creative and cultural activities, physical education and sports, social education and library facilities” Spain's Prisons General Act: “The Administration will organize educational, cultural and professional activities in accordance with the official system, so inmates can pursue the appropriate qualifications... and provide maximum facilities to those unable to take courses abroad do so by correspondence, radio or television (1979!). 2007-2010's Strategic Objectives of the Secretary of Penitentiary Services, Rehabilitation and Juvenile Justice (Catalonia): "Provide prisoners ICT access as a tool against digital illiteracy and social exclusion."
