You need five or more
in a group. The group
forms a circle.

3. Step 2
To start the game you use the
words below in a beat pattern.
Words:
Atawhai mai aku ringa

4. Hand Action
Slap both hands on your knees. Continue
this in a rhythm.
Here are the words to use next in the game:
Pukana hi Pukana ha
Pukana, Pukana, Pukana, Pukana.

5. Step 3
The first person to start will say:
Words:
Pukana hi Pukana ha
Hand Action:
Clap facing towards the person to your
right and go around the whole group
first.

6. Step 4
To get someone out say: Aue hi, Au ha pukana
Hand Action:
The right hand is a fist pointed to anyone in the
group. Your left hand is across your chest. If the
beat is broken when you say Aui hi, Aue ha, you
are also out of the game. The winner of the game
is the last person in the circle.
