Personal demographics I love working with children and my ultimate goal in life is to have a family of my own and to work with children to help them aspire to reach their positional. I am a junior at UCF. I am majoring in elementary education with a minor in special education. Most of my hobbies involve the out doors such as camping and for wheeling with my family.
Introduction to the Setting Riverside Elementary 3125 Pembrook Drive Orlando, Florida 32810 (407)-296-6520 Riverside Elementary School is located in northwest Orlando, Florida. The students population consists of students ranging from kindergarten – fifth grade.
Early Perceptions
ESE Teachers from Riverside Elementary
Bowling with students from Riverside Elementary.
Introduction to the setting
On our way to the AMF Bowling Alley in Altamonte Springs. Busses provided by Riverside Elementary- OCPS
Eagerly the students unload from the bus and enter the bowling alley. One size definitely does not fit all. As we arrived at the bowling alley the students were sized and provided shoes from the AMF bowling alley
Students are assigned bowling lanes. The teachers paired up the students based on their age group.
This was an exciting experience for some of the student that had never been bowling. Students inserted their names into the electronic score board. For some of these students this was a brand new experience.
It was a joy to watch the students discover their hidden bowling talents and techniques This student is bowling for his very first time.
Demographics
Just hanging out waiting to arrive at the bowling alley,
Waiting patiently for their shoes.
Right before we were all ready to start bowling.
Working out what team work is all about. Science lesson in action e=mc2
These two were celebrating a great shot that he just took and got a spare.
Our two pro bowlers by the end of the day.
Finally time for some pizza after a fun day of bowling.
Third and fourth graders enjoying pizza and soda together.
Students enjoying their pizza and soda together as a well earned treat.

  • 33. This was such a wonderful feeling to see the children taking pride in their accomplishments. The teachers that attended the bowling trip were amazed how determined the students were to reach their goal. I was proud of all of the students.
  • 34. My wish is that these students realize that they are in control of their own behavior and this project proved to them and the faculty that they can follow the class rules and control their own behavior when they choose. I would certainly initiate this project in my own classroom as it has proven to be an effective behavior modification using positive rewards.
