4. o EastEnders is a British television soap
opera, first broadcast in the United Kingdom
on BBC One on 19 February 1985 and
continuing to today.
Even though the TV show is
made, it seems to be a daily
life of some people which
makes realistic to us. This is
called hyper-reality when
something is not real but we
are so immersed into it that
we have the impression that is
something real.
This soap opera shows very well homosexuality, and
in this case homosexuality is portrayed as an open
subject.
5. o The film is a dramatization of the real-life
story of Brandon Teena, a transgender
man played by Hilary Swank, who
pursues a relationship with a young
woman, played by Chloë Sevigny, and is
beaten, raped and murdered by his male
acquaintances after they discover he is
anatomically female.
o The picture explores the themes of

6. o In EastEnders the relationship between the characters are
accepted well, the media portrays some difficulties they
have, but they also show that they are normal
people, and on my documentary I want to show that
people that are LGBT are human just like us.
o On the film Boys don’t cry the main character explore
different struggles, which shows us that is not easy to
make this choice, so what inspired me was that the can
focus on changing the way people look at the LGBT
community.
o My transgender summer is a documentary that follows
the life of some LGBT people. What I found interesting is
that they are coming together to fight their fears, which
showed me that LGBT people are connected.
7. o It’s a semi-reality show on ITV2
o Semi –reality: "real people in modified

show what the documentary

20. o Interviewees
1) What type of people do you want to interview from public? Why?
People from a wider range of age as possible, to get different opinions and to
reflect that age has an impact on your way to visualise society.
2) What type of people do you want to interview for case studies? Why?
It‟s very complicated to have a case study in this topic. As not many people are
confortable to talk about homosexuality and even to expose themselves in this
topic, but we will try to have a person talking about its experiences in this topic.
3) What type of people do you want to interview for experts? Why?
People from the LGBT‟s Community, because our documentary will reflect on their
idea to make LGBT more recognisable within society.
The Stonewall Charity members which supports LGBT community
