Koha is an open-source integrated library system (ILS) that provides core functionality for libraries including circulation, cataloging, acquisitions, serials management, and patron management. It was initially developed in New Zealand and is now maintained by an international team. Koha uses a dual database design with both text-based and relational database management system components to handle transaction loads. It is compliant with library standards and has web-based interfaces, making it platform independent. Koha is free and open source software distributed under the GPL license.

10. Installation
File : *.tar only AND *.tar.gz
Uncompress the file with the following
command:
tar xvf if file name is *.tar
and
tar xvfz if file is *.tar.gz
16. Koha Installation
cd Koha.--./installer .pl
Now answer the some questions on demand for
installation like:
Write the path of directory where you want to
save the installed files:
Database Name:
Server Name:
Database user:
Password:
18. Change the httpd file
Add the following line in main
httpd.conf file:
Include /etc/koha-httpd.conf
Make sure it is listening on the right port
& host names and also check the kohahttpd.conf file.
Restart apache
19. Open the Koha
Librarian Interface:

OPAC Interface:
