Empathy means to be in the shoes of
the other person. It can also be
defined as intimacy in thoughts.
Define Empathy …….
• Empathy can be defined as feeling & thinking at
the same wave length or at the same level as the
other person does with whom you are
communicating.
• For experiencing the feelings of others we have to
converse with the people around us.
• Empathy provides another person’ perspective
and therefore helps understanding other person,
their needs and thoughts.
An old student was interviewed to
know about his search for the job.
• The student had been slow but with clear
conceptual knowledge.
• He told that he thought of learning a course in
demand by the employers in addition to the
technical degree course.
• While developing the skill, other team mates
were impressed with his clarity of thoughts,
hard work and co-operating attitude.
Graduate
- Took a technical course helpful
at the job that gave him
competitive edge
- Continued to apply at different
places, without loosing hope
