Ever since its creation in 20th century by two entrepreneurs Dr. J.V. Dorr and Dr. E.L. Oliver who were
both working in the gold fields of N. Dakota and California respectively developed equipment solutions
for the mining industry got together to form Dorr-Oliver, a name synonymous with thickeners and
filters.
Dorr-Oliver Inc. entered the Indian market through sale of their rake classifiers Kolar Gold company
in 1942. After becoming a public limited company in India, HDO is with IVRCL Limited since 2005.
Here after the success story started from a reputed equipment manufacturer to a successful EPC
company. Today HDO is one of the most preferred EPC company in the field of Water & Wastewater
Management, Mineral Beneficiation, Chemical & Fertilizers and Pulp & Paper industries.

• EPC for VAL’s Greenfield Aluminium Smelter of capacity 500,000 TPY at
Jharsuguda, Orissa

• This was HDO’s first Fume Treatment Plant project.
• Received repeat order for Air & Water piping for 100 kms of piping

We have secured the prestigious order from NMDC for complete Iron ore processing
plant at Donimalai under stiff competition. The First in the country for its Low grade /

25 MLD Sewage Treatment Plant, Khargar (Oct 2008)
• For the first time HDO utilized advanced Cyclic Activated Sludge process /
Sequential Batch Reactor (SBR) for biological treatment of the sewage.
• HDO awarded O&M for 5 years for this plant
• HDO awarded another order for a 70 MLD STP using the same SBR
technology

• EPC for India’s Integrated ETP utilizing the latest SBR, MBR and RO
