- Very brief program informational overview (Who are we? What do we do?) POINT 1 – ETP is employer capitalized (ETT) and uses a pay-for-performance contract to deliver funds. Target is private-for-profit employment. POINT 2 – ETP, a first-if-its-kind program nationally, serves priority industries in a flexible way to meet the changing needs of California’s ever-changing marketplace.
- Very brief program informational overview (Who are we? What do we do?) POINT 1 – ETP is employer driven with direct Employer contracts AND MEC contracts (such as community colleges, industry and trade associations, and wibs) to underscore the importance of effective training delivery. POINT 2 – ETP serves both employed and unemployed – common goal is post training employment. POINT 3 – ETP continues to target underserved populations, particularly in areas of job creation.
- Very brief program informational overview (Who are we? What do we do?) POINT 1 – ETP allows for internal and vendor based trainers and contractor driven scheduling of classes. POINT 2 – The most effective training delivery method will supported. Should always be supported by job needs. POINT 3 – The fixed fee reimbursement system eases the planning process as reimbursement can be clearly planned – we pay only for hours delivered and tracked. POINT 4 – ETP continues to refine its automated process to reduce administrative difficulties yet still retain the important record-keeping functions. LAST POINT – All of our standard program information can be found on the website.
- What is CEWTP… Point 1 - The partnership is targeting training and certification within Energy and Water efficiency and Renewable Energy job sectors. Point 2 – CEWTP is ARRA funded allowing for more flexible program guidelines unique to ETP however nearly all of the ETP contracts approved under CEWTP could be replicated under standard ETP funding guidelines .
- Point 1 - ETP has exhausted current year funding so any additional employer or trainee interest is currently being directed toward the approved MEC contractors. HWST is CEWTP however funded by WIA 15% discretionary funds (may be a questions for follow up) Direct to EDU for more information on HWST/CEWTP opportunities. Point 2 – The training population included these certification areas - We are paying for training not certification. (Good opportunity to introduce your handouts and printed resources (your handouts or table materials will contain the current list of available contracts with a description of the training and targeted occupations). A few in the San Diego Region include….
- For the contracts section we will feature any of these you like. The co-panelists are not included (CBPCA and Efficiency First) HES is a single employer example of retraining with expansion as the ultimate target. C/N LMCT is a building efficiency program for industrial lighting.
- Onni Inc (“GreenPlumbersUSA”) is a recognized training provider with a statewide water efficiency training program. Santa Monica is an example community college program with multiple program areas.
- Cal Fed – multiple trades focus statewide. USGBC – the authority in LEED training and certification. Funded under High Wage Skill Training. Actual Amounts will be used at the time of use (being reduced this week).
