4. Chief Nurse
• The executive head of the Nursing
Service.
Assistant Chief Nurse
• Assist the Chief Nurse in planning,
setting up and supervision of Staff
and Education Program of the
Nursing Service
5. Supervisor (Ward)
• Responsible in the management of
nursing care and services in all in-
patient units.
Supervisor (ER/OPD)
• Responsible in the management
and supervision of all nursing
activities in the Emergency Room,
Out-Patient department.
6. Senior Nurse (OR)
• Responsible in the administration
and supervision of nursing activities
in the operating room. Makes
assignment of the OR nurses and
does assistance during operation.
Senior Nurse (Ward)
• Responsible in the administration of
a particular unit. Maintains the
standard of patient care. Supervises
the nursing activities in her unit.
7. Supervisor (OR)
• responsible to the Chief Nurse in the
management and supervision of
nursing and related operating room
activities. In our set up, she is also
responsible in the management and
supervision of nursing and related
delivery room, labor room, recovery
room, Nursery (NICU) and Central
Supply Room activities, in general,
the whole of the Operating Room
Complex.
8. Senior Nurse (OPD)
• Responsible in the management
and supervision of nursing and
related Out-Patient department
activities.
Senior Nurse (ER)
• Responsible in the management of
nursing activities in the Emergency
Room.
9. Senior Nurse (ICU/CCU)
• Responsible in the planning of an
effective nursing care plan system
for the critically ill patient in her unit.
• ICU requires the highest form of
cooperation and coordination of
activities from nursing, medical,
hospital administrator and other
support services,
10. Senior Nurse (DR/LR)
• Responsible in the administration
and supervision of nursing activities
in the delivery room
• Makes assignment of the DR nurses
and does assistance during
operation.
11. Operating Room Nurse
• Responsible in extending assistance
to various type of surgical operation
and does other related work in the
OR.
• Responsible for assisting during
operation, setting up of OR,
instruments, and supplies
• Observes patient during surgical
operation/procedures
• Maintain required records and
12. Staff Nurse (DR)
• Responsible in the management
and supervision of nursing and
related activities in the delivery
room. Supervises Nursing Aides in
the delivery room and labor room
• Provides assistance and guidance in
observing asepsis in her unit.
13. Staff Nurse (NICU)
• Responsible in the management
and supervision of all nursing
activities in the Nursery (NICU)
• Supervise nursing personnel
assigned in her unit and sees to it
that asepsis is observed.
• Responsible also in providing
continuous supply of emergency
drugs, supplies and linens.
14. Staff Nurse (ICU/CCU)
• Responsible for monitoring and total
nursing care
• Assist in the maintenance of
equipment’s within the unit.
• Responsible in the observance of
asepsis and disinfection of
equipment’s used by the patient.
• Charts and records all pertinent data
collected.
15. Staff Nurse (Ward)
• Responsible in rendering nursing
care of patients
• Assess, plans, and implement
nursing activities
• Act as a team leader
• Must be able to carry out doctors
order within hospital policy and legal
limitations, maintains records,
nursing notes and individual care.
