● Ask local celebrities to purchase a gallon of milk on the
day of the drive.
● Encourage them to spend an hour volunteering at a
local food pantry to raise awareness.
● Post pictures of their involvement on social media.

philanthropies they raise money for.
● Alone my sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha, raised about 7,000
dollars this year alone.
● Each semester we have a set number of philanthropy
events where we raise money.

● Each fraternity/sorority can hand out tickets for $5 or $10 dollars to gain
entry to their event, and that money will go to #Milk4Kids.
● Each fraternity/sorority can have their own individual events to raise money
for the campaign, or they can all pull together to throw the same event.
● Things like Greek Week will be extra helpful to raise money for the
campaign.

● Increase #Milk4Kids buzz online via social media
with exclusive promotions
● Develop educational and interactive videos to inform
of dairy statistics and plant process
● Identify the most efficient grocers to do the drive
with: CVS vs Walgreens or BagNSave vs Hy-Vee

● On day of drive, set-up a photobooth for shoppers who donate
● Possible competition among the dairies for most money/milk donated
● Coupons on other dairy products for milk, encouraging people to buy and donate milk

● Businesses could compete with each other to see who can donate the
most milk.
● They can raise the milk any way they want, and can decide their own
hashtag.
● Businesses would also tweet links back to their homepage, where users
can donate, and the #Milk4Kids campaign site.
● Businesses would also have the opportunity to sponsor other #Milk4Kids
events

● Fortune 500 companies in Omaha donate regularly to philanthropies, willing and wanting to
show their support within the community
● Take advantage and hold a contest

How: Utilizing each congregation’s online and attending connections to raise money for #Milk4Kids

● The congregation will attach a hyperlink to their homepage for people to donate
online
● The churches will also create a catchy banner to draw attention to the donation page
on their website.

● Post video’s on their Facebook page about the cause.
● Tweet links with videos on Twitter.
● Incorporate #Milk4Kids in any and all social media blasts
● The blasts should also have hyperlinks to the donation site.

2. Donate a specific amount on behalf of the church.
3. Hold a special offering during their services for this cause.
