Enxhi Dylgjeri ‘14 graduated from Townsend Harris High School
in New York City, NY. At Dartmouth College, Enxhi is a
Government major with a focus on International Relations and
an English minor with a focus on Contemporary Literature and
Poetry. She is interested in studying global development and
international politics. She is the president of BAZAAR, a
multimedia production and magazine, a Mentor Against
Violence, and a Hopkins Center for the Arts employee. She also
initiated, planned, and coordinated the Sustainable Clothing Sale.
Enxhi hopes to graduate Dartmouth College with a strong
background in International Affairs and Global development and go on to Graduate School for a
Masters in International Politics. She is committed to a career involving social justice and policy
making in an effort to direct international relations towards a dynamic with a stronger
emphasis on equity.
Enxhi was funded by the Rockefeller Center for a Winter 2013 internship, with generous support
from the Mr. E. John Rosenwald Jr. ’52 Public Affairs Internship Fund.
Executive Summary from Enxhi’s final report:
During the Winter term of 2013, my Rockefeller Center Named Internship was with WEConnect
International. WEConnect is an NGO that focuses on certifying and funding women owned and
led businesses in various countries. These countries include Mexico, Peru, Chile, the United
Kingdom, China, Turkey, and Australia. WEConnect receives funding and grants from the State
Department or private members that dedicate a certain amount of money to be allocated to
women businesses. In order to be certified by WEConnect, a company must be at least 51%
owned, managed and controlled by one or
more women, must operate a legally registered
business in any sector, must have the capacity
to sell to large corporations and/or the ability
to scale operations, and must be growth
oriented. After a company is certified, it will
have access to various beneficial resources.

community of corporate members and women owned businesses, a business readiness
assessment to identify areas where the WEConnect network can provide capacity building
support, an invitation to online forums presented by corporate members, with overviews of
their procurement process and practical tips on responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs),
networking opportunities with procurement officers from member corporations, training
workshops on how to leverage your certification, coaching and mentoring from other certified
companies on key success factors and strategies, opportunity to attend global and local
events.” These resources enable the WBE's to reach their maximum potential and to prosper as
a women owned, women managed enterprise.
As an intern for WEConnect International, my work mainly revolved around research and data
analysis. I researched the status of women and women owned businesses in the countries that
WEConnect was branching out into. This information provided context for the data that
WEConnect had recorded on the businesses that they certified. This data included their annual
revenue, number of employees, and field of industry. I analyzed the data collected and
compared it to general statistics on women businesses and entrepreneurial businesses in the
specific regions and created a report based on my analysis. My report was then utilized by the
WEConnect Team during their executive meetings to review their progress and develop a
strategic plan for their upcoming projects and ventures.

Named Internship Profile Summary - Enxhi Dylgjeri (Rosenwald)

  • 1. Enxhi Dylgjeri ‘14 graduated from Townsend Harris High School in New York City, NY. At Dartmouth College, Enxhi is a Government major with a focus on International Relations and an English minor with a focus on Contemporary Literature and Poetry. She is interested in studying global development and international politics. She is the president of BAZAAR, a multimedia production and magazine, a Mentor Against Violence, and a Hopkins Center for the Arts employee. She also initiated, planned, and coordinated the Sustainable Clothing Sale. Enxhi hopes to graduate Dartmouth College with a strong background in International Affairs and Global development and go on to Graduate School for a Masters in International Politics. She is committed to a career involving social justice and policy making in an effort to direct international relations towards a dynamic with a stronger emphasis on equity. Enxhi was funded by the Rockefeller Center for a Winter 2013 internship, with generous support from the Mr. E. John Rosenwald Jr. ’52 Public Affairs Internship Fund. Executive Summary from Enxhi’s final report: During the Winter term of 2013, my Rockefeller Center Named Internship was with WEConnect International. WEConnect is an NGO that focuses on certifying and funding women owned and led businesses in various countries. These countries include Mexico, Peru, Chile, the United Kingdom, China, Turkey, and Australia. WEConnect receives funding and grants from the State Department or private members that dedicate a certain amount of money to be allocated to women businesses. In order to be certified by WEConnect, a company must be at least 51% owned, managed and controlled by one or more women, must operate a legally registered business in any sector, must have the capacity to sell to large corporations and/or the ability to scale operations, and must be growth oriented. After a company is certified, it will have access to various beneficial resources.   • 2. community of corporate members and women owned businesses, a business readiness assessment to identify areas where the WEConnect network can provide capacity building support, an invitation to online forums presented by corporate members, with overviews of their procurement process and practical tips on responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), networking opportunities with procurement officers from member corporations, training workshops on how to leverage your certification, coaching and mentoring from other certified companies on key success factors and strategies, opportunity to attend global and local events.” These resources enable the WBE's to reach their maximum potential and to prosper as a women owned, women managed enterprise. As an intern for WEConnect International, my work mainly revolved around research and data analysis. I researched the status of women and women owned businesses in the countries that WEConnect was branching out into. This information provided context for the data that WEConnect had recorded on the businesses that they certified. This data included their annual revenue, number of employees, and field of industry. I analyzed the data collected and compared it to general statistics on women businesses and entrepreneurial businesses in the specific regions and created a report based on my analysis. My report was then utilized by the WEConnect Team during their executive meetings to review their progress and develop a strategic plan for their upcoming projects and ventures.
