- 5. and just a fraction of growing postsecondary attainment rates in countries such as Japan 53.7% Russia 55.5% South Korea 63% (OECD, 2011)
- 6. “Many students fall short of their academic potential because they harbor insecurities about their intelligence or abilities.” Dweck, Walton, & Cohen, 2011
- 7. “….instead of fighting what they perceive as an uphill battle, students decrease their effort and perform below their full ability.” Blackwell, Trzesniewski, & Dweck, 2007.
- 8. Carefully designed interventions can replace these beliefs with attitudes that engender academic engagement and achievement. Yeager & Walton, 2011
- 9. The Project for Education Research That Scales (PERTS) was created to deliver these brief-psychosocial interventions over the web
- 10. PERTS has delivered it’s web-based programs to thousands of under-privileged students in clinical trials throughout North America.

- Over the past three years Perts has put thousands of students through this program, and for the past few months they started working with students in rural middle Tennessee. Things are going well, kids are showing positive results. But right now Hewlett Packard foundation funds the bill
- What I need your help with is figuring out a path to market for the service. 13. If there is value being provided there should be an economic transaction to be made either with schools, parents, or local government?
